I was travelling for leisure with my partner and our baby. Hotel Sindika it's situated in the small village of Aranzazu. The facilities are very clean. The room was spacious, comfortable, clean and with a beautiful view over the mountains. A cot was provided for our baby. From the hotel, you can take a lot of hikes. You can have lunch and dinner at the hotel restaurant. The food was good and at a great price. There are also other restaurants in the village. We enjoyed our stay and we would recommend it without any doubt. Thanks!

We loved this experience completely. The Inn itself is gorgeous, with remodeled modern guest rooms- extremely comfortable. The inn keepers go above and beyond to make us feel welcome, World class hospitality. Eskerrik Asko, Miren y Ana! Meals are abundant and exceptional here, breakfasts offer everything you can imagine, local fresh delicious. We had two dinners here, one casual in the tavern and one more formal in the dining room - both were extraordinary in their own ways. Hiking from the inn is a highlight, we did two long day hikes up to mountain peaks and highly recommend pastoral hike to local Refugio with incredible views and delicious food. The Inn’s pool is fantastic early evening. Highest recommendation, and we hope we can return one day!

I didn’t actually visit Oñati this time, instead I selected...

I didn’t actually visit Oñati this time, instead I selected to go there for the hiking opportunities that offer a really nice experience. I did the “PR-GI 3006 La Senda de Urbia” and I really recommend it as a half day activity. Great views and lots of horses and other animals along the way. Another activity I’m happy to recommend is the guided tour of the Arrikrutz cave. The caves are impressive on their own and the guide really added another dimension of interest with context and explanations.

It's beautiful village, surrounding by mountains.

It's beautiful village, surrounding by mountains. We didnt realize that the village has old and important histories for the surrounding. It has an oldest university and very beautiful in Basque Country.

On the town itself, I did not find all that much to see.

On the town itself, I did not find all that much to see. Besides the old university building and the town square, I found some old facades on the streets off the main square. The surroundings are the reason I will be back - the hills and the wooded areas are really nice.

The staff at this Hotel - across the board - were excellent. All were happy and content to deal with any request we had. We felt that they wanted us to be happy and went out of their way to fulfil that policy. The food was limited but that was not a problem because it was of good quality and presentation and service.

We had lunch on the terrace. Fabulous views/environment and was great vfm. The staff were all so very welcoming, polite, accommodating and pleasant. Parking was very convenient, ample and on hotel grounds. Thank you!
