What a gem, the place is so well cared for. The bed was very comfortable, plenty of hot water, and immaculately clean. Call or message ahead to reserve dinner, and you will be pleased. A beautiful, sympathetically restored place to stay in a quaint village. The owners were lovely and very helpful. Quiet, excellent home made wine (!!) Location is good to visit Los Medulas a short distance away. Safe parking for bikes.

Everything! From the moment that I was welcomed in the front door. I was treated like a person of great importance. I loved the building, my bedroom, the external eating room and its quirky decorating. The food was delicious and filling- home cooked typical Spanish dishes for the area. The staff were exceptionally kind.

We loved it so much! Poor us! We booked only one night and regret not to have spent more days there. One of the great memory from our trip between Stuttgart and Lissabon. Thérèse and her Family are amazing. A lovely family, a wonderful region (Bierzo), an excellent kitchen (a must : plan your lunch at La Tronera!). Don’t hesitate!

Great location for hiking las Médulas. Just next to a lake with kajak rental and swimming. Very well equipped comfortable apartment.
