This place is an amazing place to stay. Very relaxing and right on the beach. The family running the place are super friendly. Breakfast was tasty. The rooms were super clean and the.beds and pillows were very comfortable. We will Definitely come back. The surrounding are is amazing for walking and exploring the coastline. See you next year!

Location: Charming old village with stone buildings sitting on a slope and narrow streets. Hotel: A historic building carefully renovated and converted into a small hotel. Room: We had an apartment (ground level as opposed to other rooms) with a fully equipped kitchen and a normal size table; electric sockets: several sockets easily available including sockets near the bed; lighting: very good, you may read without any problem. Bed: Large and comfortable. Breakfast: Excellent. Suitable both for French style (sweets, jam, orange juice) and German style (ham, cheese, tomato). WiFi: free, very good signal and fast internet. Staff: Nice and helpful. Parking: Free street parking front of the hotel. Great advantage for such packed village and its tiny streets.

We stayed for one night but would have happily stayed much longer. Everything was perfect for us. The location is fabulous - a pleasant 15 mins walk to the glorious Carnota beach, and just 2 mins to the famous Carnota hórreo, the longest in Spain. The rooms were spotless, chic and very comfortable, with towels, toiletries and a lovely view to the sea in the distance. What makes O Prouso super special is Pedro, the owner, who looked after us wonderfully well. He knew what we wanted before we did! He reserved us a table in the bar, made us a delicious chicken and potato dish for dinner…all without us speaking a word of Spanish! Everyone at O Prouso obviously works very hard to make guests feel comfortable, welcomed and catered for and Pedro is the perfect host. The bar beneath the rooms was lively and popular with locals, a real slice of Galician life. Marvellous! Highly recommend. We’d love to come back.

Casa de Santa Uxía was one of the highlights of our time in Galicia. The property is beautifully maintained and set in a peaceful location with stunning views that immediately help you slow down and relax. The rooms were comfortable, spotless, and full of character. The hospitality was exceptional throughout our stay. The hosts were welcoming, attentive, and genuinely cared about ensuring every guest had a wonderful experience. Breakfast was outstanding, featuring fresh local ingredients and homemade specialties that provided the perfect start to each day. The atmosphere throughout the property reflects the warmth and authenticity of the region. If you are looking for a quiet retreat, an authentic Galician experience, and service that goes above and beyond, Casa de Santa Uxía is an excellent choice. We would happily stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone exploring the Costa da Morte. Thank you for a memorable stay.
