The property was modern and easy to navigate. The buffet breakfast was exceptional with wide array of breakfast options. The staff was very helpful and courteous. We are walking the Camino, and the hotel is about a quarter mile off the route, but that just meant we got a really quiet, good night’s sleep.

Comfortable location to stop on the Camino. They had a bicycle room with electricity which was great! Only thing is that it’s in the basement and you aren’t allowed to use the elevator with bicycles so with the electric ones that requires some heavy lifting!

The staff were so very kind! I was such for 2 days with a terrible cold and they took very good care of me. They brought me meals and left them outside my door. They found my lost hiking pole and made sure it got to my next location too!

I loved the City it was clean and well maintained.
I loved the City it was clean and well maintained. I got lost and a kind Spanish man helped me get back on the Camino.
This man walked with me for 4 kilometres until we found the Camino TRAIL.
Ponferrada the City should mark the Camino trail better than they have. Even signage within the city saying “Camino that way. A few other city residents did not have a clue on how to get back to the Camino. The Knights Templar Castle was a sight to see.

Wonderful Temple knights history, well described during castle visit. Impressive past and great attraction on Camino de Santiago for the thousands of Pilgrims now walking or cycling. An important part of old Spanish history.
I had an accident while in this city and needed to go to hospital, the staff in particular the gentleman on reception were extremely kind and helpful, he really was the most helpful hotel receptionist I have ever come across, made it a wonderful place to stay
The hotel is well located and has an underground car park (9€50/night), a restaurant with a good menu. In the morning you can have a "Spanish" breakfast. We stayed here for the second time.
Very nice, efficient, big fake Medieval Hotel.... spacious and comfortable. Lovely Staff and a good Continental Breakfast.
We would stay at The Temple again.
