Located in San Sebastián de la Gomera, within an 11-minute walk of Playa de la Cueva, Apartamento Balcón de La Villa offers accommodations with free WiFi, air conditioning and an outdoor swimming... Ideally situated, albeit up some steps, the apartment was well furnished, in a lovely location with great views and above all else, very clean. Miguel kindly met us off the ferry and took us to the apartment.
Located in San Sebastián de la Gomera, just a 15-minute walk from Playa de la Cueva, Miramar 5 provides beachfront accommodations with a terrace and free WiFi. A newly built/renovated bright, airy clean, feel-good apartment. Fully equipped. Great views. Comfortable bed.
Located in San Sebastián de la Gomera, CASA CACHUCHA has self-catering accommodations with a patio and free WiFi. The property was built in 2005 and has accommodations with a balcony. Location is just above the city center in a quiet neighborhood. The feeling was very authentic. Having a washing machine for our cycling clothes was tops!
Im so fit after climbing up and down hundreds of stairs per day. Exploring surrounding hillsides was fun. Also did round island taxi tour and boat trip to valle gran rey. Loved the whole experience... and the food.... omg! Tried so many different restaurants. Hardly a mediocre meal the entire time. Los Atlanticos, blue marlin bar, salamander, the terrace, el tropico.. all amazing
The town of San Sebastian, is a delight. It has a multitude of bars and restaurants to chose from all, reasonably priced . Not overly developed, the town is ideally suited to Spanish and European tourist alike. Indeed visitors from all over the globe will find a welcome there. Sailing and Walking holidaymakers will find a wide choice of destinations to visit, with spectacular scenery to suit the walker and friendly safe harbours to greet the sailor. Whatever time of year, La Gomera is perfectly placed to please and relax.
You definitely need to hire a car to explore this most beautiful Island, Be careful of the very windy but scenic roads. I managed 4th gear only twice and that was for about 30 seconds each time. San Sebastian is small but has many excellent restaurants, bazaars, shops and is very cheap. The locals are very amicable and helpful as most speak English. One of the hidden gems of the Canaries. All the bars were fantastic but the best is Kikismiki, a small but great sports bar.
San Sebastian was a lovely quiet town with three / four lovely Restaurants, getting around S Sebastian was very easy and everything was in walking distance. Local Buses left each day for other parts of La Gomera and you could see these towns all in one day and return to S Sebastian in the evening. There was a Fiesta on the Weekend we were there and the music on Saturday /Sunday / Monday was fantastic, we danced until 4am on Saturday night.
San Sebastián is a welcome change from the popular holiday spots on the 4 larger Canarian islands. It is very Spanish with an interesting history and some special buildings and landmarks. It is small and very easily walked with many bars and restaurants some of which serve excellent meals and wines. One bar/restaurant has live Spanish music most weekends. It has 2 good beaches (though black sand) one of which is particularly interesting as it can be approached through a cave. It is a great base to explore the small island of La Gomera which is unique and really worth visiting particularly if one is interested in walking/hiking. Bus services to other beauty spots/places of interest are regular and very cheap. The views are spectacular on the island and La Gomera should not be missed.
A marvellous little town where the locals still say "Hola" to visitors, and you can walk from end to end in 15 minutes. Good supermarket at the bus station. La Foresta is v good restuarant on Calle Real. Not flashy but still up to date with inventive dishes. Many other good family run restaurants. managed a Mozart concert with chamber orchestra from Belgium in among all this at the enfanta Christiana auditorium.

It was a pleasent stay. The location of the hotel was good. Breakfast was sufficient. The room was clean. The stuff was helpful and polite. By reason of impossibility for us to have breakfast in the morning, they prepared a delicious picnic for us.
