Hotel Class Valls is modern and comfortable, located in Valls, 20 minutes’ drive from Tarragona. It offers free WiFi and free bicycle use. The hotel was easy to find, a good location for the dog show we were attending, it was super clean and the staff were very helpful and polite. The food in the restaurant was superb.
On an overnight stop at hotel Class and departing next morning, so unfortunately there was no time to visit Valls itself. However we did have time in the late afternoon, to visit nearby Montblanc - which is in the guide books - a mediaeval hill top town with narrow streets and historic buildings. The scenic route over the hills was well worth the effort ( the alternative is a longer straighter route by picking up the autovia from Valls and turning off.) As we entered the town we found the tourist Office with parking and next door was a very good Co-operative winery. Although the tourist office was closed the shop gave us a useful town map!
Beautiful town. Visited for the Calçotada festival. Learnt that we should have arrived earlier to buy tickets for the communal dining. But were able to buy are meat from the butchers and join with the community grilling. Fantastic experience. Hotel Felix is brilliant value for money and had a fab dinner there in the evening.
We stayed at this hotel so that we could visit our son who lives nearby, we had dinner in the hotel and breakfast and it was really good. We also had dinner in some restaurants in Valls but can't remember the names. Valls it self is a very nice town, I don't think it is a tourist area but it is worth visiting. My wife and I will definitely be going back.
Very easy to get around on foot. Many narrow one way streets did cause visiting motorists problems. On this occasion I was competing in a Veterans Table Tennis competition. Excellent facilities and easy to find. Did not leave much time to explore Valls. Many small cafes for daytime eating. Came alive at night with far more alternatives. Virtually everything closes from about 1pm to 4pm and on holiday periods, Easter on this occasion, Friday, Sunday and Monday was a total shutdown.
Beautifully appointed hotel, very nice room, good breakfast, and I loved the sauna.
Very comfortable beds, nice, clean hotel. Pretty good kitchen and helpful staff.
