DenmarkPerfect location for us that was spending the day hiking around Villa de Valverde and then taking the boat early in the morning.
The place was very clean, Juana very friendly and service minded. She even left some breakfast for us in the fridge.
Comforts bed, great shower, complete kitchen also a very friendly dog and some cute cats on the premises!

United KingdomOut of the places we stayed on our 60 day trip around all of the Canaries, this was our favourite. It shows how keeping things simple yet functional can create a welcoming, comfortable home from home. So many great touches including sensor lights outside the front door and inside, and very well equipped kitchen and bathroom. Great central location, with shops, cafes, restaurants close to hand. Walking from the door and easy access to buses. And no noise at all, from other houses or from the road. Just a perfect place to stay. Great responsive host.

PolandThis place deserves 10 if there was a WiFi connection! It is isolated but close to Isola village, with picturesque walking areas around and a lovely garden with cacti. The house is comfortable, well designed and clean. The host bought a fan for us as it was extremely hot when we were there in El Hierro.

SpainThe apartment appeared to have recently been renovated, and this is to a high standard. The property is large and spotlessly clean. Well equipped and in a handy location for the heart of Valverde. Parking available at the front of the property, we would definitely stay here again.

This town is the main service centre for the island and has...
This town is the main service centre for the island and has most facilities. The bus network is centered here. Some bus routes must be pre-booked. The tourist office isn't very good. It couldn't provide a bus timetable and sent us to the wrong place to get one. However, bus times are available online and a paper copy can be collected from the bus station. Walking routes are well signposted and waymarked and there is a good network in all directions.

Valverde was my "home town" and so I am prejudiced in its...
Valverde was my "home town" and so I am prejudiced in its favour. My
visit this time was to complete some business from when I was resident.
The name extends to a wider area known as the ayuntamiento of which
there are now three on the island. The town is also the island capital
and so, by default, provides needs not fulfilled elsewhere. For example
the hospital provides higher standards of care than would be expected
in a community of around just ten thousand.
Visitors should be aware of temperature gradients across the island. It
is often true that Valverde town is seven degrees cooler than places on
the coast - but the reverse can occur under some conditions!
Valverde is a compact human-scale town. Everywhere (except some
residential suburbs) is reachable within 15-20 minutes walk. There
are several 'bus services mainly 4/5 times daily to other parts of the
island and so Valverde is a good transport hub.

We stayed here for 2 nights while on a cycling holiday. Good location and Magaly was very helpful with check-in and arranging a taxi to Valverde. The owner was also very very helpful via WhatsApp. The sofa was very comfortable :) there is only 1 bar/restaurant and 1 shop in the village which close at 7 or 8pm so plan your trip accordingly.
