Very nice and spacious cottage in a calm area. It was warm inside even when -25C outdoors. Well equipped kitchen, big TV with Netflix. We could watch northers lights directly from terrace.

Everything you need is there already, don’t mention there is a supermarket and gas station 1 mins away. But you can still easily watch aurora from the house which it’s amazing, the host are amazing too, one of my best experience.

Great location right by the river, from which I saw the Northern lights. They put a lot of effort into making the place special (loads of small details outside, like lights, a hut with fire place, ice hole for swimming, they made a ski track on the river for their guests). They have prepared three whole folders of information on the place and environment with tour suggestions and local maps. No mass tourism and a real commitment to help their guests without being pushy or overly enthusiastic about selling stuff. They have a nice shop and restaurant (I didn't eat anything there though so can't comment), rent out equipment like torches, snow shoes etc if needed. And they listen, which is a great and rare skill (I mentioned that I wanted to visit a church and she told me about mass although I didn't ask specifically about mass). To top it up they guy gave a lift to the bus stop on my last morning (about 1km, but it was snowing and I had *a lot* of stuff). The apartment I stayed in was huge and very well-equipped. They also communicated promptly through booking.com. It was really nice and I'd love to come back.
