This was one of our best hotel experiences ever. We stayed on the last floor, so parts of the ceiling were made of glass, that we could see the auroras (if there were any). The room was spacious, even with an extra double bed. Breakfast was well varied.

Beautiful hotel! Stunning views from the rooms. Your own private sauna is Amazing! Fire place and snack bar was lovely. The hotel was located in a great area with beautiful winter walking trails and not too far a walk from town.

It was amazing! Food was exceptional and the property is just gorgeous. It has a reindeer pin where you can meet greet reindeers. You can also use the snowshoe included in each igloo to watch around the winter forest behind the igloos. Not mentioning that each igloo has jacuzzi and sauna, which is so convenient. Staff were all very friendly.

We stayed here for 4 nights and loved it! We felt so relaxed with the private sauna and hot tub. There are great kitchen amenities in the room so we really felt at home, and the forest view covered in snow is magical. The food was great, the hospitality from the staff in the restaurant was outstanding and made our experience extra special. The location is not far from the airport, santa clause village, and the city. It only took us 10-15 minutes to each place by taxi, so it was very convenient. We would love to come back.

We liked the staff: he was professional, polite, and proactive. He called us to double-check at what time we were arriving and to make sure we knew how to check in. We liked the room: it was huge, comfy, and had a sauna. The location is very relaxing in the woods, but at the same time it's a walking distance from Santa's office and reindeer.

The resort is amazing, and a lot of tours are offered by them. Breakfast was good, food was fresh, including coffee and tea. The location is a little bit far away from everything else - we chose it on purpose like that but to highlight for another tourist.

Having the luxury of a sauna in our own glass house, a jacuzzi in the the back yard, reindeer sleighs jingling through the pine forest outside of our windows, walking-distance to all the fun in Santa Village and lying down on the sofa or the bed looking into a sky with northern light atop, I don't know what else one can wish for! Heaven on earth! Their hospitality is welcoming and caring at the reception and the restaurant. The fine dining experience at their restaurant is splendid! The reindeer of the day was the best we've tasted. And the willow grouse was so divine, it left us speechless for a minute. We also loved the chocolate mousse for dessert. For breakfast, there is a very wide range of selection with local berry products and specialties, must try their fresh sour bread!

Its a great place to visit and the length of the stay...

Its a great place to visit and the length of the stay depends on what activities you want to do. Some of the people who i met came there specifically for skiing and mentioned it has one of the best grounds for cross country skiing. I went there especially for northern lights and some winter activities because it was my first time visiting such a cold place. Northern light depends on your luck because we were able to see it on our 3rd (last) night. If you are a fan of winter activities, you can plan to stay longer. and if you just want to try different ones, then i think a week-long journey would be more than enough. Also, its just 2 hours from Levi, which is also a great place for snowboarding, alpine skiing, etc. But the accomodation in Levi is not that high and expensive so rovaniemi can be a good place to stay.

Overall relaxed atmosphere, uncrowded, very clean air. Good choice of Local/traditional and international restaurants (we ate in "Nest" Lappland restaurant in town and the Japanese buffet in the shopping complex). Small but very nice ski resort nearby (bus timetable very unusual but taxi ride 21 euros and also in walking distance [45-50 minutes]). Ski prices reasonable and comprable to other European resorts. Lovely walking round town and by the river bank in the snow - drivers always stopped for us. Nice countryside immediately outside town and we were driven to a national park by a local tour company in town. Good quality produce in local supermarkets (we went to "K" Supermarket and the smaller grocery shop in town). Prices similar to UK/London in some cases (chocolate, eggs, milk, meat, fish, cheese, restaurant food) or a bit more in other cases (alcohol and coffee in supermarkets/pubs/restaurants/cafes) but deals to be had if you look for them. You can only get alcohol 9am to 9pm and only beer and lower strength wine in supermarkets - all stronger wine, spirits and liquers in special shops apparently - which we did not go to. There were other activities (i.e. winter ones like snow mobiling) but we did not have time to try them.

Rovaniemi is a compacket city in the North of Finland .

Rovaniemi is a compacket city in the North of Finland . If you areinto the outdoor life nothing could be better. so if you are into Huskey's, Raindeer and calling in on Santa at Santa Claus Village or looking to trek in the frozen wilderness no where could be better. it has a compact shopping centre,plenty of food supermarkets ( K Supermarket & Liddle) and coffee shops) This is an ideal stop over for a winter break

A lovely city with a mix of city and nature.

A lovely city with a mix of city and nature. Lots of places to visit around like lapland winter park, ounasvaara trail and santa claus village. Lots of restaurants to try. Plus a nice walk by the river with angry bird park for playing and sledging.

There is so much to do in Rovaieimi - northern lights, santa...

There is so much to do in Rovaieimi - northern lights, santa claus village, reindeer races, finnish spas, walking the trails. It was very cold (-24 C) in February, but very beautiful. I would definitely go back.

The city itself is very modern with no historic buildings (because of the War). But the scenery around is very beautiful and you can do lots of activities. I recomend to rent a car because there are ofher things to see around other than Santa’s Village which is the main attraction

If you are looking for a perfect base in Lapland - look no further. The hotel is located outside of Rovaniemi in a breathtaking location by the river. Mikko (the owner) and his staff are gracious and hands-on hosts, nothing was too much trouble, breakfasts and dinners were delicious and our room was warm and comfortable. We greatly enjoyed our snowmobile and dog-sledging adventures and while we only caught a glimpse of the Aurora, the trip was nevertheless most enjoyable. Thank you and we hope to see you again soon!

The hotel in near the main street of Rovaniemi. It takes 10 minutes to walk to the restaurants and shops. The family room is not big. The toilet is small, with a small washing basin. The kitchen is large with a sofa and table. You can make food. The breakfast is simple and nice.There is a large place between the main house and the villas. Easy for parking cars. Overall, the hotel is nice for the price. Because the hotels in the downtown are more expensive, this hotel is a good choice to stay to save some money.

the property is remotely located thats wats amazing if u want a igloo stay in cheap price i guess this is an amazing option the staff goes out of the way to make your experience unforgettable the sauna was amazing and really was well maintained the restraunt has this finnish vibe where they cook food in front of u on a wood fire with a chimney we also got to see the northern lights

Came to do lapland experience, but very little snow. Good evening activities for guests (little ones). Friendly helpful staff, room ready early, on arrival as requested and everything we needed. Hotel was hot in just thermals (bring normal comfy clothes for evening). 2 restaurants for food in the evening reasonable for finland prices.

Strengths are the excellent breakfast and location (it is in the very center of Rovaniemi). The hotel is cozy and staff is friendly. We highly recommend to have dinner both in Bull Bar (burgers and ribs are really tasty) and in Monte Rosa restaurant.
