Escapade Bretonne is a beautiful, welcoming B&B, set in a traditional Breton longère (the typical low, elongated stone houses of Brittany, built in granite). This means you get a little ground-floor nest of your own, looking out onto a garden surrounded by greenery. Our room was the "marinière," with lovely nods to the sea and so many beautifully curated maritime details (there's even a little porthole window in the bathroom!). Another really special touch is that all the furniture and woodwork is custom-made, quite a change from the industrial-style decor we're so used to seeing in B&Bs these days. The host, Virginie, is incredibly sweet and welcoming, and an amazing cook too. Breakfast here is exceptional, with homemade jams, yogurts and cakes, fresh fruit and local bread. We also tried the aperitif platter when we arrived, which I'd highly recommend as well. Lastly, the property has parking, clearly marked with a little sign for each room. It's also a great spot for families with children and pets are welcome. If we ever go back to Brittany, I'd definitely want to stay here again!
