Stunning view and beautiful setting. Sophie and all the staff are exceptional and had excellent suggestions for day trips in the area. It's so peaceful here, we wish we had more than 3 nights! Also - the Dinner is amazing, and we got to sit outside and watch the sunset over the Dordungne as we dined. Wonderful!!

Bertrand greeted us personally, procured us a parking spot right out front of the house and welcomed us with fresh local strawberries and chilled sparkling water, so lovely after a day of driving! A gracious host who really will make your stay memorable! A magnificent house, beautifully decorated, comfortable and immaculate and within walking distance to everything in this special little village of Domme. Bertrand has such a way of making you feel welcome in his home, finding us a dinner reservation as well as sharing his hobbies with us to personalize the stay! (did you know you can also book a dinner he will prepare for you as an extra perk)! The breakfast was a superb highlight! In the morning we awoke to a beautifully laid table outside, sunhats and everything we could have possibly needed to start our day touring this wonderful part of the region! Bertrand spent time with us prior to departure personalizing a road map for us with wonderful recommendations(incidentally some of the best things we discovered on our following day of travel) Overall a wonderful stay in a special location with a superb host! Merci beaucoup Bertrand!

We ate at the Pizzeria des Templiers Restaurant and it was excellent. Lovely cooling mist in their nice courtyard. Very friendly staff and delicious pizzas with a thin crispy crust. Tasty desserts too. We also ate at the Esplanade which is a lovely place to sit on a warm summers evening on the terrace. Very helpful staff for choosing the meal and wine to go with it. Also my friend had a problem with certain foods and it was no problem to make changes. They were so helpful. we also ate at the Asian restaurant just outside of Domme. They have just moved there. The meal was delicious and all home made. Not bought in frozen. Domme is great for shopping and all the shop keepers were super friendly.

The town is nice, but not worth more than one night if that.

The town is nice, but not worth more than one night if that. Everything closes at 7PM and doesn’t open until 10am. There is only one pizza place open on Wednesday for dinner. I think it would be better to stay outside Domme and come in for a few hours during the day,

We loved the town, the people & the shops.

We loved the town, the people & the shops. The ice cream was delicious! The views were spectacular and I would certainly recommend visiting Domme, preferably out of season as it is quite busy even in September. Beautiful market on a Friday! A small car is recommended as streets are narrow. We ate at a nearby cafe & had dinner in a restaurant that offered outside seating & beautiful views.

An impressive bastide with an amazing view over the dordogne and hills and forest. A lovely walk along the ramparts. Great ice-cream in the main square. Overall well worth visiting. We will be back...

Domme was a beautiful town.

Domme was a beautiful town. Out of season there is little open but you can see what a vibrant town it would be once the tourists arrive. In the few shops that were open everyone was very friendly and gave us tips of what to see and where to visit. There was an amazing book shop that was open. Even out of season it is a lovely town to wander around with one or two bars open for a coffee etc.

We have spent two hours in this village.

We have spent two hours in this village. We walked through a few streets, enjoyed the panoramic view over the river, visited the old Romanesque church, checked an antiquarian book shop (where our kids bought some English books), and stopped for pancakes in Gourmandises Café (with nice personnel and tasty food). We liked the atmosphere, which felt simultaneously historic and relaxed. One feels like in a fairy tale in this village. Fortunately, there were not many tourists at the end of October (despite the fall school vacations in France). In particular, one could easily park their car in the village without any difficulty. Then we continued our journey to the Marqueyssac gardens...

The property is in a beautiful location with fabulous views from the back of the house and garden but also very short walking distance from the town of Domme. The interior is absolutely beautiful so creative and quirky. An enormous amount of love and attention to detail. The hosts are so kind and attentive making the visit very special.

Location fantastic with superb view. Reception was warm and every detail was well thought out with a personal touch. The restaurant is excellent, every dish was nothing but a delight. Though we arrived a little late, the host was very thoughtful to accommodate our needs. One of the best hotels we've experienced, no doubt.

Pam and Glyn were excellent hosts..very warm welcome (including a beer as it was a hot day!) and really friendly couple. Bit difficult to find the property in all the country lanes, but the location is stunning with a fantastic view of Domme. Domme and La Roque Gageac are both nearby. Breakfast was lovely.

Location in the middle of Domme was excellent. The house has ancient charm with modern conveniences. Owners written instructions for operation of appliances was really appreciated. It was easy to visit many of the surrounding villages from Domme. We loved it there, I would go back in a heartbeat 💓
