The breakfast was perfect. Fresh pastry and juice tea yogurt and fruit and cheese. This is a lovely place to stay to soak up local ambience. Margaret is very knowledgeable about the area and friendly. There is a wonderful rooftop terrace with a beautiful view of scenic southern of France. At night the stars are beautiful. The Ginestas area is walkable and beautiful we visited the local Catholic Church that offers Mass on Sunday and was built in the 1600’s amazing. There is a local bakery close by and the restaurant LaTable Casino offers drinks vines and great food. Just lovely.

Beautiful place to relax away from hustle and bustle. 30 min ride from Narbonne. Friendly people. The chateau du Puits es Pratx is walking distance from center. Very hard working and friendly staff. The wedding we attended there was beautiful. Old world charm is the best way I can describe this area. What a treat. The La Table Casino had great drinks and wonderful food and the deserts were delicious.

We stayed at La Someil which is a short way out of Ginestas...

We stayed at La Someil which is a short way out of Ginestas and is a very popular Port for barges on the Canal Du Midi. The bridge across the Canal is very narrow but passable for most cars and there are excellent eateries on both sides. Do not expect a shopping experience here though. If you enjoy the canal views and a glass of anything drinkable then this is the place for you.

The small village is a bit too quiet (no little souvenir shops to browse in) and it's impossible to visit the church as it's closed. But there are some lovely walks to be had in the surrounding area.

Ginestas is located 3 km from Le Somail (a UNESCO World Heritage Site), and 3 km from the Canal du Midi. It is a village of old houses, quite lively with a bank, shops, a bar, and a restaurant.

A very pretty village, a serene atmosphere, very friendly...

A very pretty village, a serene atmosphere, very friendly locals, a small restaurant in the town center where you can eat wonderfully well at unbeatable prices, and three kilometers away, you can have dinner in the evening in Le Somail, on the banks of the Canal du Midi; simply magnificent.

The property is a lovely place to stay in the village of Ginestas. We were there to attend a wedding at the local chateau and it was ideal. As well as that, it was a really good location for venturing into Narbonne and Carcassonne. Margaret was the ideal host and she was extremely welcoming each morning while we had breakfast. The drinks available in the roof terrace were very fairly priced and the sun terrace is an ideal place to sit peacefully under the French sun. We would highly recommend L’Orchidée.

Perfect place to disconnect, located in the small and typical Ginestas village, a wonderful setting in the middle of the Occitane region. The place provides free private parking and bike storage, check- in was smooth and communication with the hosts was easy and effective. Breakfast is very good and if the weather is nice you can have it in their beautiful garden. Although we only needed a pit-stop place for one night during a roadtrip, we enjoyed everything so much :)

Beautiful gite that was part of an old enclosed estate. Private and quiet location in the countryside with plenty of wildlife to enjoy. Nearest towns Bize-Minervois and Ginestas (10 mins away) had good restaurants and bars
