Set beside the River Yonne, La Côte Saint Jacques is a hotel featuring an award-winning spa with an indoor pool and a hot tub with panoramic river views. It also has a 2 Michelin-star restaurant. The building and grounds are beautiful. And we enjoyed the most amazing dinner by Chef Jean Michel...so many courses so little time!!!
The Rive Gauche Hotel is situated alongside the Yonne river, set on 5-acre grounds. The hotel offers 42 quiet rooms with all the amenities you would expect from a three-star hotel. The dinner. Almost a gastronomic dinner, with great white and red wines.
Joigny Appartement is a self-catering accommodations located in Joigny, 0.6 mi from Saint-André Church and from Maison du Bailli. Breakfast was rather basic, but that's a French thing, generally - they don't do Full English, lol. The apartment is well-appointed and tastefully furnished. The hostess is very friendly and super-helpful. She picked me up from the station & dropped me back there again when I was leaving. I would almost certainly stay there if I were in Joigny again.
Located in Joigny, Maison Charme avec Terrasse hypercentre, très calme provides self-catering accommodations with a patio and free WiFi. The property is 31 miles from Montargis. Well located in old part of town near arts quarter and good restaurants. Clean and well cared for. Good WiFi.
We were all there before picking up our canal boat. Our room didn't overlook the river but was much roomier than our friends room that did. It was raining the night we stayed but the out door area by the river looked lovely. Eat at the restaurant, food is great, you should book when you book your room.
The town is lovely and the airfield for private aircraft is within easy walking distance. The food & clothing market on Saturday was exceptional, possibly the best we have visited in France. Taxi service was readily available, including Sunday morning, and reasonably priced.
We only had two days as we are going on a canal boat trip but it is very friendly and quaint. If you were taking a boat this apartment is a good place to add on to before or after your trip or to have a relaxing weekend or week away.
Delightful town on the River Yonne, good center to visit the Champagne and Burgundy vineyards as it's situated right between them. Mediaeval in origin, with numerous really old buildings, often with intricate wood carvings - but a bit run-down due to a lack of employment possibilities, which together with faster connections to the wider world, doesn't help the prosperity of the area. Lots of cafés, restaurants etc. to enjoy. Excellent indoor Food Market (with a wide range fresh produce), plus a large outdoor area set aside for a traditional clothes, kitchenware, locally made pottery, honey and a paella stall.. Saturday morning is the main event & I believe that there is another weekday one as well. Can't recommend it enough as a true French experience (not touristic). The town is a built on a hillside and still makes excellent St Jacques Red and Chardonnay & Pinot Gris wines that are somewhat hard to find! An hour away is the famous Castle of Guedelon, painstakingly being built as an Educational Project using the tools and techniques of the Middle Ages. 20 minutes away is the village of Chablis which can be visited along a Wine Route.

A charming hotel in a very beautiful park and with view of the old city and the river. The restaurant offers a good choice of well elaborated French dishes (covid19-protection rules in place). Enjoy a relaxing atmoshpere at the hotel and in its park.
Fantastic stay. Beautfully restored hotel particulier, decorated with a lot of taste by the host. I was made to feel very welcomed, and the host did everything in her power to help me and enable me to go around town and be independent.
