Hotel Auberge Edelweiss is located in the heart of the medieval village of La Grave, 6.2 mi from the Col de Lautaret. The property is housed in a former coach inn and features chalet-inspired décor. Very clean and comfortable room. Enjoyed both dinner and breakfast there. Excellent food and hospitality!
Gîte Me Rocher is located in La Grave in the Ecrins National Park, at the foot of the Pic de Maije. It offers free Wi-Fi internet access, a common TV lounge and views of the surrounding mountains. Dinner was superb, and the balcony overlooking the glacier is a great place for a pre-dinner drink. I also loved the quirky decor.
Les Alpinistes N 11 La Grave facing the Meije is located in La Grave, a 6-minute walk from Glaciers de la Meije Cable Car, and free bikes, a tennis court and massage services are available on-site. Clean and practical. Great location. Hosts were nice and helpful. Very comfortable.
Chez Papy - Grand Appart Entirely renovated Ventelon La Grave La Meije is located in La Grave. Location was perfect. Amazing views of the surrounding mountains from the Chalet itself. You could easily walk from the door of the chalet and explore the mountains around, all with amazing views. The chalet was spacious, very clean, and very modern and comfortable. Rooms were large and lots of space.
Beautiful scenic area, a lot is closed in the summer, but there is enough open for the essentials. A little tricky getting from town to town, very narrow winding roads! Not sure how it’s possible in the winter.
It just like ten years ago and still perfect place for freeriding. The area is pretty demanding and you do all kind of extreme there. You can feel that everyone is there for freeriding which makes it even better. The place is small and that adds to the feeling. When you go there you should really spend there a longer time than just a week. It takes a week to warmup.
La Grave is an amazing place. It had great skiing options (get a guide) and it still has retained its small town charm. There are several places to eat and the food is a relatively good. It's a truly special place that can't be missed.
The scenery is stunning and the location is perfect to enjoy the many activities of the area. Everyone we encountered in town weither shops, restaurants or other services were super helpful and friendly.
This hotel is well located in the village of "la grave", in front of the tourist office. The room is quite clean and well equiped. The decoration and the style of the hotel/resturant are very nice. The breakfast is also quite nice with lots of choices, and good quality products.
convenient to 5 major ski sites: D’Huez (the Auris sector), Les 2 Alpes; Serre Chevalier, via Monetier-les Bains, and Montgenevre, as well as of course the wild and very challenging terrain at La Grave itself, for which the lifts are adjacent to this property, which it overlooks.
Friendly staff and excellent service. Do not expect a luxury hotel, the room is clean with a nice view. The food is fresh and delicious. It's worth it every penny. Really good for cyclists like me. There are plenty of famous TDF climbs nearby to the guest house.
Glacier View and ancient village the La Grave. Le Vieux Guide..Great restaurant in village. Should try it.
Great location to visit La Grave
