Château de Sédaiges, dating from the 12th century, is set in a 6-hectare park that is located 1.9 mi from the Marmanhac hiking trails and from the Auvergne Volcanoes Regional Nature Park. What a fantastic place! We felt like nobility staying there as you are able to walk thru the many other grand rooms. Owner was very nice and gave us a personal tour plus he arranged dinner for us at the restaurant in the village. Staying here was a highlight of what was a great trip. Highly recommended. Would absolutely stay there again (and for much longer)
Offering a seasonal outdoor pool and children's playground, Domaine de la Jordanne is located in Saint-Cirgues-de-Jordanne in the Auvergne Region. Some rooms include a seating area where you can... Everything. We got a warm welcome from Anne and Laurent and enjoyed very much the "table d'hôtes" . The Domaine de la Jordanne is ideally located in a very nice valley.
Hotel Les Tilleuls is set in the Auvergne Volcanoes Park, just 6.2 mi from the Chateau de Sedaiges and 25 mi from the medieval town of Salers. Corona measures were well taken. Tasty food in the resto. Nice bar for having a drink in the evenings. The pool was also nice after a nice hike.
Located in Saint-Cirgues-de-Jordanne, 22 mi from Murat, La Maison Normande features a garden and free WiFi. Sarah and Tim are the most gracious hosts. When no restaurants were open the night I arrived, they had dinner brought in. What a pleasure to break bread with the hosts. Tim helped resolve some tech issues and gave recommendations in the area while Sarah outdid herself with the most abundant breakfast and snacks. Tim hauled my luggage to the second floor for me. Sarah made coffee, tea and more with fresh goodies. The room was well furnished with dresser and clothes rack. All in all a wonderful experience
