What a Gem in Menton. Loved the vibe & decor, the ladies on reception were excellent & housekeeping do awesome work - exceptionally clean & maintained. Water bottles given on arrival to be filled at any time with either sparkling or still at reception. Tea & coffee facilities in room & fresh milk provided on request. Handy to everything & quiet. Loved our little balcony & we sat out there each morning with our coffee before heading out for the day

This is a great stay, a couple minutes walk from the beach and central to exploring the beautiful French Riviera. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. Rooms are spacious, modern and recently renovated with a large flat screen TV. The bed is comfortable and the neighborhood is extremely quiet, so it’s great for a restful night’s sleep. Some rooms have spacious balconies. It’s just a 5 minute walk from the Carnoles train station. From there, Monaco is just a 7 minute train ride. In the other direction, Menton is just a few minutes train ride and Ventimiglia, Italy is just 20 minutes on the train. You can also walk along the beach to Menton, which is lovely. And the nearby coastal walk towards Monaco is stunning and a must do. It’s also not so far from Nice and Nice Airport. There’s a lot to explore in the vicinity. And given the efficiency of the train connecting coastal towns, a car is not necessary, I’ve been on an extended trip and I was happy to extend my stay here as it ticks so many boxes. I recommend it and would happily stay again. This is probably my favorite stay at an Ibis. I hope to return to this beautiful area someday!

The front reception staff was excellent - friendly and helpful. Our room was very spacious, with two small balconies overlooking the courtyard garden and the Promenade du Soleil waterfront street of cafes, and of course the beautiful Mediterranean Sea. We could see and hear the waves hitting the beach and it was wonderful. The location of the hotel is perfect with shops on one side and the lovely waterfront promenade on the other, and just minutes to the pedestrian only old town area. With an entrance on both sides, you couldn't find a more convenient or better location in Menton. Breakfast was great and served in a large sunny room with walls of windows, or you could sit outside. Our room had a large walk-in closet, separate toilet and shower area with a towel warmer that actually worked, large sofa and besides the two balconies (one with bistro table and chairs), an inside sitting area with two chairs. If you're renting a car, the garage is very close by - almost next door, always had spaces (in winter), and the hotel has a temporary parking area for you to unload your bags before parking. Great price for all the amenities. This is classified as a 3 star, but should be a 4 star. We loved everything about the hotel and will be back.

The hotel is in a great position for everything, right in the centre of Menton. The station is a 10 minute walk away, the beach is 5 minutes and the town is on your door step. The rooms are exactly as shown on the website and beautifully clean and include a mini fridge and kettle. Perfect for any traveller. They had just opened the patio for clients breakfasts which I’m sure will be popular.

The most beautiful city in south France - we enjoyed it more than Nice or anything else. Great gelato (Demontis Gelateria Artigianale - this was the best gelato we have ever had), great sea (we recommend going to the Plage des Sablettes - clean water, free, showers available, a little bit noisy but great view and near the restaurants etc.), great food (Pizz’Addict - possibly the best pizza we've ever had), great people and oh, the city itself is amazing, it has a great vibe. We would love to come again!

Menton is romantic city full of colours and tastes ! Flowers trees palm trees, lemon trees, museums, beautiful beaches, birds, nice food, and beatiful promenades next to the sea ! There is a bus and a train for people without car. There are nice mountains around this city and dont miss to visit Alps marritime, and a beautiful medieval village called Eze.

We thought we might trip around some of the other towns but...

We thought we might trip around some of the other towns but settled in to Menton and enjoyed ourselves. When we find a good restaurant we tend to return and that is what we did. We had such a good time and great food, at Le Cyranos (the restaurant with the lime green table runners). We had fun, attentive service from our waiters. Dining with the moon beam over the water was perfectly romantic.

Menton was charming - lots of history, quaint. Small village feel but quite big, interesting and very beautiful. Glamorous but low key and without an overly ‘touristy’ feel. Great restaurants, nice also with the Italian feel. Prices reasonable, great markets and plenty to do. We stayed in such a great location within Menton too.

We had a wonderful stay, we took a food tour of the old town which was great and be sure to walk the font by the beach towards Italy where there are hidden bars and restaunts. The Market Hall is fantastic and the trains to France and Italy easy clean and great value. Plan the day to try and only walk the hill once or twice!

Being near the railway station was a big bonus if you want to travel out to the area, especially after a day out it was good to have a short walk back. The old town, although small, was interesting to visit. Menton is really a 2 day place and best for a base to get out and about. I would suggest that if you go for "just a drink" in one of the open air restaurants you ask the price, as I paid Euro 6 in some places and in one place Euro 12 which was extortionate for a small glass of wine....if you don't ask the price, it leads to over charging. Menton is pleasant, but hectic on the roads. A few good restaurants, but the beach is shingle and stone.

Hotel was in a great location, across the road from the beach, and a short walk from the 'Old town' of Menton. Staff were very helpful. Plenty of food and variety for breakfast, which is eaten while looking out on the sea, very pleasant indeed. The evening meals, while limited in their options, were nonetheless satisfying.
