Chambres d'Hôtes La Gloriette offers B&B accommodations and a self-catering room 2.2 mi from beaches at Arromanches-les-Bains. All accommodations have a private bathroom with shower. The staff was adorable! They were so helpful and lovely. They gave us the perfect dinner recommendation too.
Located on an educational farm of 10 hectares, this bed and breakfast is 1.2 mi from the D-day Landing Beaches. It offers individually decorated guest rooms with views of the garden. The location was great and the owners friendly. Something different than a regular hotel. Good breakfast. And economical stay for a family of 5.
Located in Tracy-sur-Mer, Victoria Arromanches B&B offers rooms with garden views and a shared terrace. D-Day beaches are located 1.9 mi from the property. The place was absolutely beautiful. The surroundings pastoral, with a lovely garden, quiet and peaceful. The owners are very special as well: knowledgeable, attentive, elegant and friendly. I will have to visit Normandy again soon - so I can stay at Victoria B & B.
Located in Tracy-sur-Mer in the Basse-Normandie region, Victoria has accommodations with free WiFi and free private parking. Outstanding B & B!! Well located halfway between Juno & Omaha Beaches of D-Day in the Normandy region of France. The host was excellent, very passionate about his B & B, for good reasons as it was simply one of the best we have ever stayed in! His knowledge of the area was incredible for the D-Day beaches and memorials but also the restaurants in the city of Bayeux and also near his B & B. He was there to meet and greet us every time we came or left from the B & B which was also very nice. In addition, the breakfasts were first class!
Located in Sommervieu, Daco offers self-catering accommodations, just 2.5 mi from Bayeux. Free WiFi access is available throughout and the property also has a garden with children’s playground. Compact and well appointed. Kitchen and plenty of space. Nice little village with a shop with a little bar within.
We wanted to see the WWII history in Normandy. Ryes is a perfect location to use as a base. Away from the crowds but located so that everything is easily accessible. The highways are modern and we'll marked. The local roads and lanes will take some getting used to but our trip was uneventful and we put several few hundred miles on our rental car during the nine days we had it. A perfect location as a base to take in the history of Operation Overlord and the D-Day landings.
Ryes is a little country town close to Arromanches-les-Bains. It is very quiet (no night life here), but very close to Arromanches and a short distance from Bayeux., One can get very reasonably priced accommodations for a family, with more space and a lower price, than staying in the bigger towns. There is only one restaurant and bakery in this town, but one is very close to the bigger towns if one wants to eat out. I was traveling with my family, so we bought provisions and ate breakfast in our furnished apartment (gite), then were out most of the day. This was a good jumping-off point for exploring the D-Day beaches and other areas in Normandy (Mont St-Michel, chateaux, gardens, Bayeux tapestry, etc.). The countryside is beautiful!

The hosts were charming, the rooms were comfortable and large and the breakfasts were excellent with eggs. Ryes is a lovely village not far from the D-Day invasion beach at Arromanches.
