Le Cep en Sancerrois is a B&B located in Sancerre. It offers suites with garden views and a communal wellness center with a sauna and massages. Free WiFi access is available throughout the property. Its a very personal guesthouse led by a nice couple who were very helpful and welcoming. Great big appartment like rooms with view to the lovely garden in the back. Breakfast also in a very homely atmosphere with self-baked bread, local cheese and homemade marmelade! You really felt at home there, too bad we only stayed one night. Would love to come back one day.

Located in Sancerre, 656 feet from Tower of the Fiefs, Residence Le Silex features accommodations with a garden, free WiFi and an ATM. The property has garden and city views. The place was spacious and so so clean. Everything was brand new and finished to a high standard. The location was superb and the hosts were so helpful and friendly. The photos do not do it justice.
Sancerre is a small hilltop town with great views. The local food is very good including the local goats cheese as is the wine. I was not previously aware of the red wines but they too are very good.
Sancerre is a beautiful hilltop village with a fascinating history. It is simply a bonus that the town also host great wineries, shops, restaurants and views across the Loire valley. An ideal location to either break the journey to Paris from the South East or spend a few nights. Highly recommended.
It is a very quiet, relaxing and beautiful area with a lot of adventure for those that like to hike and walk and take in the local beauty. The wines are fantastic and truly the reason we wanted to visit to begin with as it is our very favorite type of wine, so for us it is a perfect place to visit and enjoy! Note that if you don't bring your own car, you should plan to mostly walk as we did not find any access to local transportation. There is a taxi service but we were not sure how to arrange rides. You really can survive by foot. We had a driver bring us there from Paris and pick us back up so that is how we made it to and from for both our trips. The ideal time to visit is June, July, August, and September
It’s a beautiful hilltop town with amazing views of the surrounding vineyards from every aspect. Take a trip to the top of the tower for a real birds eye 360o view. The Maison de Sancerre is really informative about the process of wine making and includes a 4D movie and a glass of wine! I’ve recently started running and my morning run was so beautiful and peaceful around the old town before everyone was up.
Sancerre is a combination of very charming and very touristy. It’s almost unavoidable. The name alone draws people from around the world, and rightly so. The wines - Sancerre and Pouilly-Fumé - are magnificent. So you have to be careful in your choice of hotels and restaurants; especially with the latter, the wrong place will treat you, well, like tourists who they’ll never see again (so, why should they care). But there are also charming, friendly places, so vote with your wallet. But don’t miss Sancerre AND its wonderful surroundings.
Wonderful location to explore vineyards and Crottin de Chavignol - but you need a car for sure !! Saint Satur has a fabulous restaurant by the bridge and lots of places to enjoy in the region!!! Love coming here - now 5th year on my own with my dog. Walking around the town, then Chavignol and lunch at Charme des Monts. Sitting in Sancerre town centre and watching people. All delightful!
