Fantastic country getaway if you want a few days in the countryside in a less explored (i.e. touristy) area of France. Friendly host who was very accommodating with a late check in time, and the property was super cozy and quiet, in a rural area close to Autun which is a big enough city to have pretty much everything, including some nice walks. Beautiful old renovated farm building with a fireplace that will keep you warm on chilly winter nights! Recommend.

The house is located in a beautiful small village in Le Morvan. The scenery is superb and you hear only sounds of nature/agriculture. The house is spacious (all ground floor) with 3 decent sized bedrooms and a nice living room. The kitchen has all the basics for cooking and dishes, including an oven and microwave. The hosts were very welcoming; showing all the utensils and the tourist information and making you feel welcome and at home. A genuine house that is part of the village in a location on a hill. While the house is not the most modern, we were surprised how bright it was (windows in living room on 3 sides) and how elements were renewed. The bathroom/toilet is recently refurbished and key rooms are freshly painted. WIFI is excellent, TV too. The garden (grass field) is ideal for kids doing some outdoor activities. Highly recommended to take the walk in the village via the rue du chateau, through the fields and back. Visit Lac des Settons for a bit of boating/kayak, Maison du Morvan and Autun - all really worth it; Just relax and enjoy nature... We hesitated to book due to the very low price, but were overjoyed we did. Kids voted two thumbs up!

The lodge stood out from any other hotel/chalet in the area. In the middle of nature, very clean, beautiful sounds of crickets and the view is amazing. The Wifi connection was fast and good enough to do some work as well. Host is very friendly. What I like the most is the view from the jacuzzi. You can do your own cooking, BBQ, dishwasher and washing machine. Would highly recommend if you want to stay in a modern and clean place compared to the much older hotels in the area.

everything. From the moment we opened the front door we were welcomed by beautiful fragrance and relaxing music. What a retreat and good value for money. Comfy beds good TV channels Netflix etc. We visited the village of Perouge aprx 15 mins drive. Definitely recommend.
