The couple who own and run this place are super nice and friendly. The place is beautifully constructed and furnished, comfortable, and clean. The breakfasts were delicious and I liked that you could order what you wanted so that food wasn't wasted. Marie went above and beyond in helping us out with some things since we were traveling several weeks. I also found this place to be of good value.

L’Atelier 2 is private, well equipped and cozy. Your own little house with a Chef! Delicious Dinner was served by the owner in the terrasse, lovely! Breakfast was also very good.

The hotel was a very convenient walk to the train station, and also a 10 minute walk to all the restaurants, wine bars, and cafes you could want. The breakfast buffet was amazing and the staff were all super friendly. We stayed in a large room on the second floor and it had a great shower, was very clean, and the bedding was exceptional .

Volnay is a top wine village and has understated beauty and loads of peace and quiet. There are 2 excellent restaurants in the centre of the village. Volnay is well placed for Beaune and the other prestigious wine villages and the cote de nuits and cote chalonnaise are only a short drive away.

Volnay is a small village with pretty much only wine...

Volnay is a small village with pretty much only wine producers, although there are 2 restaurants but not always open. No shops nearby, you need to take the car to get to the nearest bakery in Pommard or to the supermarket in Beaune. There is not much to do or visit in Volnay itself, you need to drive to Beaune to see the Hospice or the city centre or to other cites like castle, etc.
