We love Aldeburgh, a quaint and interesting village, lots of places to visit in the area, good restaurants and interesting bars. A good selection of high end shops. It's great to park the car for a couple of days and enjoy the area.

Aldeburgh is a pleasant holiday destination with a good range of shops and restaurants. It is of course on the sea which offers beaches and the opportunity to fish and of course to eat fish and chips from the local chippy.

Aldeburgh is delightful, we've been 5 times before and loved it every time. Good beach, great dog walks and lots of good places to eat. Particular shout out to The Two Magpies for breakfast (and cakes), The Suffolk, Aldeburgh Market and The Lighthouse for dinner.

It's a nice coastal town, with cinema, pubs, cafes and restaurants, plus an attractive pebble beach very close to town centre. Also some nice shops - I found Reed Books next to where I was staying was good place to pick up some extra holiday reading when I'd finished what I"d brought.
I ate at a number of different venues, all good. Don't remember all the names but one was the Chocolate Teapot where I had a very good crab salad. Lots of dishes using the local seafood in most of the restaurants and cafe's,

The town is welcoming and friendly.
Parking is a bit trying but then it is for everybody including local people. The high street has a good selection of shops of all kinds. The town is vibrant and charming without being noisy. For those of all ages who may want a gentler holiday.

Well thought out accommodation with everything anyone would need for a stay. Well stocked kitchen with a very good welcome basket. Lots of DVDs, books and games. Private garden area. Use of portable beach chairs. Good private car parking. All excellent.
Although Escape is a good 10 minute walk to the start of the High Street or beach it is located in a quiet small estate and we felt very safe during our stay. Aldeburgh is an excellent base from which to explore this part of Suffolk.
The house was warm and welcoming with plenty of parking for two cars. The rooms are spacious with a kitchen so comfortable that we hardly ever used the lounge. An ideal place for us as we were visiting the Aldeburgh Poetry Festival and the venue was a 15 minute walk away. Worth noting, if anyone in your party has mobility problems, that it is uphill coming back from the town. It was very handy for those last minute things when cooking with a CO-OP and Tesco close by.
Our room was fairly small but we loved the view out to sea. We liked the little nooks in the hotel lounge and the main hotel restaurant food and location were very good. The staff were all helpful. The Indian restaurant meal was delicious but we felt the portions were small and it was overpriced as we only ate vegetarian dishes. Aside from that, our visit was all we were hoping for.
A perfect retreat for us…traveling with my older parents the property had two living areas plus a spacious kitchen so everyone had space. There is a front and back garden which is perfect for a coffee in the sun. The beach is a 3 minute stroll away and aldeburgh itself was only a flat 10 minutes walk. Plenty of hot water and brilliantly equipped and clean kitchen. Absolutely ideal.
Location is ideal and close to town, No parking with house but we managed to park outside the property with no issues. The interior décor is lovely and well kept. Street was really peaceful and it quiet part of Aldeburgh.
