A big room and bed for just me. I had a disabled room (I hadn't asked for this but it was convenient and close to reception. The walk in shower did not drain away so the floor was always covered in water. I had a glass or wine which was expensive. Breakfast was very good and nicely served, it was upstairs and I wondered how people in a wheelchair would manage but perhaps there was a lift to the restaurant.
When I was at school, Alsager was a pleasant village situated in rolling farmland. I was somewhat surprised to see the brutal industrialisation being imposed on the town by pointless, unsympathetic and unattractive industrial units that have been built and, I suspect, will be unused apart from a couple of security operatives and an angry dog.
Great location to explore potteries such as Middleport Excellent stalls on site and good heritage trail Alsager is a pleasant town in itself as well as being well positioned for road links A number of good eating places both in Alsager and within five miles
The town has small businesses with a local expertise as to what people want, as well as a choice of charity shops to look round for bargains ! There are places to eat and we had an excellent Indian meal for 2, nicely served and without the need to book in advance. There is also a choice of a supermarket with good opening hours. There is a large central park with facilities for all ages of children.
This is a quiet town but it has plenty of amenities. The locals are very welcoming and there are plenty of eating places in and around the town. There are a couple of supermarkets and a nice public park area. The standard of housing is very high with lots of large gardens and general greenary in and around the town. The recreational facilities are exceptional with a large area containing 3G football pitches and grass pitches. Its great to see such amenities being well used by the local community. The town is 5 minutes off Junction 16 of the M6. Within a few miles there are a number of towns such as Sandbach, Crewe and Congleton.
Excellent staff, very helpful but not overbearing. Waitress Jasmine didnt lose her cool with all the different orders and went out of her way to help with a query. Its a beautiful place too, plenty of space to accommodate all of the restriction rules. Didnt get to try the breakfast but it looked good.
Very well managed local hotel. The facilities have been upgraded and we had a very nice stay . We travelled from the USA to be near family and it was perfect.
A lovely small hotel. Very pleasant rooms. All clean and tidy. Staff very welcoming. Breakfast excellent. Excellent value for money.
