This family-run hotel overlooks Lake Windermere and has free parking, free Wi-Fi and fine food. The shops of Ambleside are a 10-minute stroll away. The location was great! The room was lovely; staff very friendly, and the breakfast was absolutely wonderful!!! Would definitely stay again.

Wateredge Inn stands on the shores of Lake Windermere, a short walk from Ambleside centre. Set across two former 17th century fishermen's cottages, it offers cosy bedrooms and period features. Very clean rooms and bed linen. Staff extremely polite and knowledgeable. Location couldnt be better.

Situato vicino al Lago Windermere, a soli 5 minuti a piedi dal Long Wood Bay Watersports Centre e a 2 minuti di auto da Ambleside, il Briery Wood Hotel è circondato da tranquilli campi e boschi. La struttura aveva una sua storia ed era molto bella ed interessante. Il giardino attorno era bellissimo :)

We loved everything about this hotel, the view from our room was magnificent, great size room, comfortable bed, lovely breakfast and restaurant meals were really good as well. With a picturesque location in Ambleside, Ambleside Salutation Hotel & Spa, BW Premier Collection features a modern spa and a brasserie. Wonderful comfortable room, bed, and bathroom, helpful and friendly staff, lovely dining area and bar. I had the pool and spa all to myself one evening and they were fabulous, especially the outdoor jacuzzi! A great stay in a perfect location for shops as well as many fabulous hikes and tarns.

Have stayed here on numerous occasions in the past and the standard continues to be maintained, if not exceeded. The facilities are outstanding, and the staff are all helpful at all times. Definitely a location to return to when circumstances permit.
