Featuring a sun terrace, Roth Ach offers accommodations in Avoch, 12 mi from Inverness. Views across the firth from our bedroom window or the terrace were stunning. Chris & Val were excellent hosts, couldn't do enough for us. Impressive range of breakfast and all organic where possible. Location was excellent, being close to Channory Point for dolphin spotting. We would recommend staying at Roth Ach for a relaxed quiet break to anyone.
Boasting sea views, The Old Chandlery is a holiday home located in the heart of Avoch. Guests staying at this holiday home have access to a fully equipped kitchen. The location, not far from Inverness, in the small town of Avoch was very good with a view over the harbour (where we had great fun fishing for crabs and hired one of the boats to take us into the bay to Dolphin watch!) and the beach. The only slight downside was, over the road was parked an old camper van and the public convenience. It is worth mentioning that the PC was clean, newly painted and not often frequented. Plus, the upstairs accommodation which we rented looked well over the top of the PC so our view was not disturbed.
Set in Rosemarkie, 11 mi from Inverness, Black Isle Holiday Apartments offers a garden and free WiFi. We stayed in the wildcat 3 bedroom apartment, Very spacious for 2 families with kids. Comfy beds, very clean, plenty seating for us all to be together, lots of lovely little touches when we arrived, outdoor bbq area, play park and tennis courts to rear of property.
It's a beautiful village. We saw dolphins in the Moray Firth from the breakfast room at our B&B! The harbour is nice and an excellent dolphin boat trip leaves from there. The only downside was that there is no pub, and there aren't many taxi companies, which means one of you may end up as the designated driver a lot of the time.
Stunning views, plenty of activities and local events regardless of your interests, rotating local farmers market, fascinating local history, natural history and an abundance of wildlife with the dolphins and few RSPB spots, as a family with two young children we didn’t stop and that was all staying within the local area!
Very close to a peninsula from where one can watch dolphins from the shore and easy drives into Areas around Inverness. Plenty more f things to do there and if the weather is good, one will have a blast exploring nature
