This is exactly the type of quirky historical hotel I like to stay in. Slanty floors, lots of stairs and fire doors, great view of the street below and best of all a pub! The bathroom was large which was a nice surprise.

Clean and comfortable and perfectly situated. The staff were friendly and welcoming.

The Inn is unique in its architecture and decor. Just delightful, with cubbies to sit and read or wait for the bus. My room was tidy and welcoming, with a lovely view of the countryside and mountains.

Excellent breakfast with many choices, including lox and eggs, or avocado toast with egg, and of course a full Cumbrian breakfast. Helpful, cheerful staff.

The hotel was beautiful in a lovely location. The food was fantastic and the service spectacular. Everyone made you feel at home yet it was still a luxury experience. Bravo to the staff and owners for putting such a great travel experience together.

As an American on a 2 week family vacation all over England, this was our favorite place we stayed! The staff was outstanding. Family operated and everyone was fabulous. The waitstaff, bartenders, cooks, were all super friendly and helpful. Rooms and beds were all very comfortable and clean. All rooms have been remodeled in the last couple of years. The location and the views from the patio were incredible. Food was great. We had 3 rooms booked for 5 people total. Good value. We wish we could have stayed a few more days.

The room was quiet but for the afternoon/evening hours, since our window was just above an outdoor cafe/bar. We needed the circulation so we had to keep it open. By bedtime it was quiet again. The room was small, but that is usually the case in European accommodations. The beds were pushed together but they had set it with separate linens to accommodate 2 singles sharing the bed. The room had a sitting area between the bed and ensuite facility, furnished with a small divan, chair and coffee table. The furniture was not really needed and made the space seem even smaller. We only stayed one night so I suppose anyone staying longer would have found the sitting area accommodating. The room was very clean. The staff was extremely accommodating - twice retrieving 'lost' items, and even holding onto one we did not discover missing until several days after we had left town. We happened to be in Skiddaw later in the week, and on a chance we stopped by to inquire if they had perhaps found and saved it. They still had the item! This is an item that could easily have been tossed into the trash, not knowing it contained a dental retainer. That item would have been quite expensive to replace! The desk attendant tried to help us locate a taxi for our departing day's journey, but in the end none were available on short notice. Fortunately we discovered a public bus that took us right to the doorstep of our country guesthouse for a fraction of the cost!

Beautiful surroundings and a cosy hotel that’s ideal for switching off and relaxing. Highly recommended.

Warm and welcoming. The staff are friendly, attentive, professional and committed to excellent service, food is excellent- fine dining with good portions, rooms are very well decorated with everything you would need.

It was a beautiful country house that is run by the owners, who obviously pour a lot of love into the hotel and guests. The location was amazing and close to so many hikes. The meals that were served were delicious and a lovely experience.

Could not love this place more. Keswick overall was incredible and staying here was just the icing on the cake. The room was so nice and the view from it was unbeatable. So sad to have only stayed one night. We would come back in a heartbeat.

Excellent customer service. Despite of the peak season, a manager checked us very quickly and reserved a table for the dinner. The restaurant is great- hearty local food with cooked breakfast. Historical exterior and modern interior with cozy design and fuctional family rooms.

Very nice Hotel and would 100% recommend it..

I loved being able to park easily at the inn. Hostess was very kind trying to help me out with my technology and personally I very much enjoyed the 10-15 minute walk into town on pretty streets with nice landscaping. Fridge in the room was great and even came with some fresh cream for you coffee. View outside my window was nice as well.
