We were lucky with the weather and could enjoy the cool sea while sun bathing. The coast line is nice for a walk or short run. We didnt stay right at Bognor Regis Beach but at Felpham Beach which we considered a lot nicer. Accommodations are pricey despite us coming from an expensive country /city. So if you book then at least try to get one right at the beach and for a few days only. I wouldn’t know what to do if I was staying there for a whole week especially with bad weather. But for passing by it was nice. And you have to try the scones at Beachcroft Hotel.
The town centre was a bit run down, not really worth a visit. Limited shops. Only went to buy swim wear - choice of New Look or Peacocks. Felpham beach much better for a few cafes and unspoilt beach.
Bognor Regis is making a real effort to improve the quality of shops and cafes. It was a much better experience than this time last year. Now has a more cosmopolitan feel with a lot of outside eating and drinking
It is a small town, with a lovely long shingle beach. It is situated such that you can take a bus to places such as Portsmouth and Chichester. Both of which are worth a visit. Chichester has a decent cinema, if that is what you want to do. If you have transport then there are various nearby gardens you can also visit
Visiting in September, after the earlier pandemic lockdown, meant that there were a lot of shops and attractions that were closed. It would be very difficult to fill your time without your own transport to visit other things in the locality. Town centre somewhat tired and jaded with a lot of businesses/shops closed down, no doubt as a result of the pandemic
Not much to do there and restaurants limited choice shut early . Nice clean beaches though and great for walking. Bognor is easy to get around and would recommend Navgator breakfast and Waverly pub for drinks. Some places I found abit too loud for my liking but I am middle aged . Probably a young couple would enjoy it
Bognor Regis
Very friendly. Family run. Such lovely people and had a really homely feel to it. We were an hour late for final check in but Samantha very kindly made us a coffee and offered us the use of the shower etc when we arrived at 10pm. Perfectly situated on a peaceful side street, 3 minutes walk from the seafront and even fewer from Butlins. Highly recommended!
The hotel was excellent placed to explore Bognor Regis and the sea front in particular. The breakfast was very good and the staff very tentative. We had an issue with our initial room but the wonderful reception staff member, Sebastian, was very quick in relocating us to a more suitable room.
Food was excelent with various offers for breakfast. THe room was larger than expected with a table and chairs outside for relaxation. The hotel was in a perfect location for a relaxing time. The young staff did the hotel proud
