It is a small town, with a lovely long shingle beach. It is situated such that you can take a bus to places such as Portsmouth and Chichester. Both of which are worth a visit. Chichester has a decent cinema, if that is what you want to do. If you have transport then there are various nearby gardens you can also visit
Visiting in September, after the earlier pandemic lockdown, meant that there were a lot of shops and attractions that were closed. It would be very difficult to fill your time without your own transport to visit other things in the locality. Town centre somewhat tired and jaded with a lot of businesses/shops closed down, no doubt as a result of the pandemic
Not much to do there and restaurants limited choice shut early . Nice clean beaches though and great for walking. Bognor is easy to get around and would recommend Navgator breakfast and Waverly pub for drinks. Some places I found abit too loud for my liking but I am middle aged . Probably a young couple would enjoy it
Large beaches, not crowded (even in August) with all the usual attractions and kiosks. The Eastern end is lovely and quiet, mainly because the beach is pebbles there. Something for everyone in a traditional seaside town way. I would rate it above Southend-on-Sea for quality, sort of like a less gentile Eastbourne.
The town is lovely & the people I encountered were friendly & courteous. There are several ‘specialist’ restaurants which looked nice. Sea front pubs serving (good) food. I could not fault the careful and not too intrusive adherence to the Covid-19 advice / regulations. The beach front is lovely & clean (lots of big bins to take all the tourist rubbish - a nice touch). The promenade is wide & flat so it is perfect for those less mobile, bicycles etc. BG is far less garish than many seaside resorts. Really nice atmosphere for the less rowdy tourists who fancy an enjoyable & relaxing holiday. The public parks are an absolute joy - beautifully maintained with ample seating to take in the beautiful flora & fauna, with well maintained pathways meandering through.
The lovely long promenade stretches to Felpham and Aldwick. The sea air is fresh and invigorating. The high street has some lovely small shops, and you can find some good bargains in the numerous charity shops . The cinema is incredibly good value for money. I am particularly pleased that there are now two places to charge an electric car. The best restaurant, Top Tim Thai was closed or perhaps shut down unfortunately. The Lobster Pot is a good place to have lunch and has a fairly large outside seating area overlooking the sea. There are plenty of cafes to get cheap meals.
Lovely hotel right on the seashore. Calm and quiet village from one side, all attractions of Bognor Regis from another. Nice food in the hotel. Rooms are nice, room No.1 is great if you are at your own and value comfort and privacy. Staff is very friendly and ready to go extra mile for you.
Bognor Regis
Really lovely, cosy little private room, gorgeous location, a short walk to the seafront (if you know where you're going). A home away from home really, lovely and private. Received a nice welcome message beforehand as they owners had opened for no contact due to covid.
Room was clean, recently decorated, airy and had everything required. Nice to have a sort of entrance area with bedroom and en-suite off of it, providing extra privacy. Great view down the length of the pretty seafront. Secure. Very friendly and helpful staff.
We are regular guests at the Inglenook and would recommend it to anyone visiting the area. The staff are excellent and helpful, there is a bar at the hotel that has a good choice of real ale and serves a good selection of bar food.
