Many families visiting Bognor Regis loved staying at The Inglenook Hotel, Navigator Accommodation, and The Beachcroft Hotel, BW Signature Collection.
The sea views from the hotel were marvellous and we could walk along the promenade and find ourselves in the town centre almost immediately. Vast range of eating places and all the usual shops if you needed them. Only thing we didn’t like was the number of rough sleepers and drunks in the evening.
I needed peace and relaxation and that was what I got. I saw a good production of The King and I at The Regis Centre. I did a lot of walking from one end of the Bognor Seafront to the other and took Taxis at the beginning and end of the trip to and from the train station. I ate and drank at my hotel and during the day in cafes in the town. I had one drink at the Royal Norfolk Hotel. I went to the Museum which was very interesting.
Plenty to do and visit. Felpham promenade with Lobster Pot and boat club restaurant for morning coffee and lunch after your regular stroll or jog! Hotham Park is a must for familes. The local cinema showing current films and only £2.50. weekdays admission!!! Family day out at Butlins. Dotto train along the sea front. Navigator hotel for great meals, drinks and accommodation.
Bognor holds a variety of sports and music events through the year, and fun fares for the youngsters. Hotham Park, which has a miniature railway and boating lake for children. Quite a large open park with a bandstand, ( many events held here during the season), lovely quiet leafy walks on nice paths, and an open all year cafe. The Alexandra Theatre which puts on various shows and music, attached to the regis centre with a coffee bar. The Regis pub (Brewers fare)has good inexpensive food. The London road coffee house also offers good inexpensive food. Bognor boasts about 7 hotels actually in the town, a branch of all the major banks, and a variety of cafe's/coffee shops. Assessable from the A259 it has ample parking spaces. Frequent busses to Chichester/Portsmouth one way and worthing Brighton the other. Finally, Butlins a mile down the road.
It is a small town, with a lovely long shingle beach. It is situated such that you can take a bus to places such as Portsmouth and Chichester. Both of which are worth a visit. Chichester has a decent cinema, if that is what you want to do. If you have transport then there are various nearby gardens you can also visit
Visiting in September, after the earlier pandemic lockdown, meant that there were a lot of shops and attractions that were closed. It would be very difficult to fill your time without your own transport to visit other things in the locality. Town centre somewhat tired and jaded with a lot of businesses/shops closed down, no doubt as a result of the pandemic
On a flying visit to Bognor to meet up with friends, so basically used this hotel as a convenience, but the location is really lovely - right on the beach - and the lady receptionist on duty on the 22nd/23rd July deserves a special mention for the splendid efforts she made to ensure we had everything we needed.
Bognor Regis
Really lovely, cosy little private room, gorgeous location, a short walk to the seafront (if you know where you're going). A home away from home really, lovely and private. Received a nice welcome message beforehand as they owners had opened for no contact due to covid.
Room was clean, recently decorated, airy and had everything required. Nice to have a sort of entrance area with bedroom and en-suite off of it, providing extra privacy. Great view down the length of the pretty seafront. Secure. Very friendly and helpful staff.
