Located in Castlederg, 28 miles from Enniskillen, The Derg Arms B&B provides a restaurant and free WiFi. Very good value for money. A spacious room with a large ensuite. Breakfast was huge and staff very friendly. We were travelling with an 88 year old and staff went out of their way to make her comfortable. Free parking, very close to everything.
Offering a restaurant and a bar, Ardgort House is located in Castlederg, close to the River Derg where guests can go salmon fishing and 16 miles from the Ulster American Folk Park. Room was great, very clean and comfy. Breakfast is very tasty, you can even chose from the menu! John, the owner is very friendly and easy to talk to, which made our stay even better. Downstairs they have a little bar where you can relax and get all the missing (or new) information from the locals for the rest of your trip. It was probably the best accommodation we've booked! Thumbs up!!

Due to the adverse weather at xmas time we were only able to see round Castlederg by car. we called into the local spar shop which was close too where we stayed[everything u need in one shop].The Diamond[centre of town]is only 20-30 mins. walk from the ARDGORT where we stayed has plenty of shops on the way to cater for every taste. We found no need too search the town for food as the Ardgort b&b has a great restaurant and chef, which is open to the public.
We were visiting family so did not spend a lot of time in the town but the time we did spend there we liked the place. I would recommend that anyone going there should try the Red Pepper Restaurant first class food, wine and service. There are lots of quaint little towns, and villages nearby like Omagh and Drumquin with plenty of good walks.,
It's a wonderful place and local people are very friendly and helpful. Plenty of pubs. A few shops, which seem to sell anything you could possibly want to buy, at reasonable prices. If you stay longer than a long weekend, I recommend your own transport (even a bicycle). Bring a decent map. Lots of 'R' and 'L' roads. You can drive for hours and see nothing but hedges, trees and fields. Signposting is not always informative. We recommend Derry for Hallowe'en, a day out in Donegal, Castlederg park & castle, Lough Erne, Strabane Leisure Centre swimming pool. It you want to eat out, make it early. After 9, only takeaways. Roads are well maintained
Castlederg is a small town in lovely countryside surroundings, ideal for a quick break away and to relax. Everyone I met was friendly and approachable, I'd like to go back in the Summer when the weather is better and just relax
Castlederg is a small town ideal as a base for touring the Donegal coast, Sligo & environs, Derry and Giant's causeway as day trips. There are two supermarkets and several places to eat (restaurants, bars and takeaways). The walk to the castle park and along the river is nice. Castle Coole near Enniskillen is also a nice day out from Castlederg.
There was not a lot to do there. But the bars and restaurants we went to were really good with friendly staff. The Greek restaurant El Greco was really good! You need a car really to get around outside of Castlederg
