An excellent base to explore the picturesque countryside and many fine walks. There are numerous places to eat in town: the best was the Talbot Inn. The town is very charming and has plenty of character.
Cleobury Mortimer is an historic village/small town, central for visiting interesting places in the area. It is situated in lovely countryside and the locals are very friendly. The High Street has various places to eat out in pubs, etc and we really did not have enough time to visit them all, but the ones we did visit were close to our hotel and were very good value and quality.
Ideal base to explore the area. Ludlow was very nice and very Christmassy🌲 Beautiful countryside, ideal for walkers in the summer. Cleobury has a lot of places to eat and the pubs very friendly with live music.
Great little village with around 5 pubs. Best pub we visited was the Stable Tavern. Absolutely amazing food at £5 at lunch time. The food is freshly cooked and you get loads. We played darts and put music on the jukebox and met lovely dogs and their owners. Will definitely stop here again.
Unfortunately the weather was against us but the coast fire in the bar was welcoming. The Hopton Crown has been renovated very well and in keeping with the pub. Very clean and all staff were very pleasant and went out of their way to be helpful. Ludlow and the market is a must visit. Went home with bags of wonderful fresh produce! The garden terrace at the Hopton Crown would be great in the sun and the outlook is so peaceful and pleasant. Ludlow Food Hall also worth a visit. The whole area is very pretty.
Peaceful, country roads so watch the sheep on clee hills as they just walk out in front of cars! Centre is full of cafes and country pubs with large church, smaller villages very nice to stop in and take in the beautiful scenery.
