Hotel in Cleobury Mortimer
Located in Cleobury Mortimer, 24 miles from Ironbridge Gorge, The Hopton Crown has accommodations with a garden, free private parking, a terrace and a restaurant. Very comfortable, clean small hotel with character. The staff were efficient, courteous and always friendly and clearly eager to please. The room was spacious and very comfortable with period features yet with all modern comforts. The included breakfast was excellent, freshly cooked and very tasty. The evening meal was excellent and just what we wanted but some people may find the menu limited. We enjoyed our meal very much helped by the excellent service of the staff. We would thoroughly recommend the Hopton Crown.

Little Pound House, Kidderminster is located in Mamble, 23 miles from Lickey Hills Country Park, 27 miles from Ironbridge Gorge, as well as 28 miles from Broad Street. If your looking for a home from home then this is the place to be. We stayed for 5 nights at the little pound cottage, Peter and Donna who restored the cottage done an amazing job, with little touches of antiques around the cottage to the beautiful log fire, it really has been beautifully put together by them both. The cottage is located perfectly for visiting Ludlow, Leominster, Tenbury Wells, Bewdley etc. The cottage was spotless and they even left a bottle of wine for us to enjoy. The hosts Pete and Donna were so welcoming and we look forward to seeing them again as well as visiting the cottage. We have already told all our friends and family about the cottage and they plan to visit in the near future. The little pound cottage is truly beautiful and at the end of each day myself and my partner couldn’t wait to go back to it each day from our outings. We can honestly say we already feel like we have built a second home in this cottage and cannot wait to return! Thank you Pete and Donna for putting together a stunning cottage and making us feel ever so welcome
Busy main street - typically rural village though not particularly inspiring. Ludlow; Tenbury Wells; Berrington Hall (NT); Attingham Park and Hall (NT); Leominster and Bewdley (plus museum) all worth a visit.
a wonderful town on the half way between the historic towns of Ludlow and Kidderminster. The town has a wonderful character of its own, many historic buildings, and a good selection of places to eat and spend an evening. the pubs all have a very welcoming atmosphere. We visited for a walking break, and we were very well looked after. the countryside around the town is stunning, with great views of the Clee hills to the north and the rolling hills of Worcestershire, Herefordshire and Wales to the South. the church is stunning with its crooked spire. we loved the town. thank you for making us feel so welcome.

Your categories below (in No. 4) for this historic small town are not sufficiently listed - you have not included this special place in any of the categories below. It's a wonderful market town, listed in the Doomesday book. The church is remarkable and you need to focus on the history of the place. You can sell this town in terms of it's ancient history. For example, the base of the church tower is Norman and an exceptionally early and fine example.
It is a very pleasant small town, everything needed for a few days' stay. Some of the shops sell leaflets of local walks. I think there were 10 available walks starting from the town' We tried the river one and the scenery was delightful. Plenty of cafes and restaurants too. We had a lovely meal at the Thai restaurant on the main street, and the indian one looked great too.
An excellent base to explore the picturesque countryside and many fine walks. There are numerous places to eat in town: the best was the Talbot Inn. The town is very charming and has plenty of character.
