Hotel in Welwyn
With free Wi-Fi and free parking on site, The Wellington offers a popular restaurant with award-winning food, a large terrace, and unique rooms with antique furniture. We couldn't recommend the Wellington enough. Everything from the warm welcome on arrival to the beautiful rooms, outstanding food and the friendliest team you could wish for made this such a special stay. The very tasteful festive decorations only added to the sense of occasion, and the only disappointment was having to leave after 2 fabulous days!! We left with so many wonderful memories however, and felt as if we'd eaten like a King & Queen. The location in the heart of the village is picture postcard perfect, and everyone we met in and around the village was also incredibly friendly which only added to a really memorable break, and this is somewhere we couldn't recommend highly enough if you're looking to escape and switch off from everything. Having breakfast included in the room prices is incredibly good value, even more so when you sample the wonderful food!

A charming 17th-century coaching inn, The White Hart Hotel offers luxury accommodations, with good access to the A1(M) and a 20-minute train or car journey from London. An old stagecoach post on the old road from London to Edinbrough, the place is full of charm, but the rooms are modern and comfortable. The staff was great, and the food downstairs really good.

Welwyn Garden City (Near Codicote)
Luxurious Apartment Welwyn Garden City Business Park is located in Welwyn Garden City. The property is 17 miles from Watford. perfect for our needs, well laid out apartment in quiet but convenient location.all mod cons and host excellent. would stay again when in the area.
Quiet village with easy access to surrounding parts of the Hertfordshire countryside, and well within reach of the A1(M) whilst being distant enough so as to not hear it. Choice of pubs for lunch or evening meals, as well as drinks, and the staff at the Post Office-come-store are friendly folk.
Codicote is a bit outside of Welwyn Garden City its £13 in a taxi into WGC and £17.50 after 11pm we were going to a party so didn't want to drive as we would be having a drink - but given the price of the hotel it was still a better deal than the available accommodation in WGC
The room was average there are signs saying improvements going on but when there is carpet missing and dirty bathroom that's not right really and I don't really want to sit in the pub to access the wifi so that needs sorting was told might not get it as room is to far from the router
I was there on business. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the food was great. My room was spacious and the bed very comfortable. I would have liked a chair in my room as I needed to work and the wifi connection was poor.
Didn't get to spend any time in Codicote as were only on overnight. Village looked lovely and had plenty to offer. Rustic pub serving real ale was much better than the usual hotel near the airport. Good prices and welcoming staff. Would use again.
Codicote is a lovely friendly picturesque village out in the country not far from main town center. Choice of places to eat & drink. Not far from public transport connections to London & else where. Suitable for all ages.
