Idyllic location. So peaceful I’d forgotten how quiet our beautiful countryside can be. Really spacious and comfortable, easy to find and parking right outside. The hosts are wonderful, so pleasant and welcoming too.

We had a long journey home so booked into here to break up the journey.Its quite remote but we liked that, very peaceful and the surroundings are beautiful.Very friendly reception from the owner and the gentleman on the bar.we didn't feel rushed and settled into our room for the night before going downstairs to pay and we enjoyed a lovely glass of wine and my partner loved his pint.We slept really well, refreshed for our next journey home.We we pleasantly surprised by the breakfast, cereal, toast marmalade or jam, orange juice and a very good coffee.Would definitely stay again if traveling that way again, thanks for a perfect evening and start to our day.

What a wonderful find the White Horse Inn was. We were looking for a place to break up our long journey and happened upon the White Horse Inn by chance. It is a charming Thatched Pub with lovely accommodation, wonderful restaurant and a great beer garden with tables and play area. Totally charming. The owners and staff are so friendly and helpful. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and wouldn't hesitate to stay again.

The interesting decor the upholstering of the chairs were stunning. Very comfortable. Very welcoming. Best, lattes in town. The Eaton mess sundae was fabulous (needed more meringue). Front desk folks were very welcoming and very accommodating.

The location is close to Stonehenge. We did the inner circle tour so it was great that we didn’t have to drive very far in the dark. The breakfast was excellent so delicious! The staff was very welcoming.

    The Collingbournes are on the main Salisbury road , so it's...

    The Collingbournes are on the main Salisbury road , so it's busy at peak times , but goes quieter in the evening . A short walk takes you onto the downs with panoramic views over the surrounding countryside . We drove out to Ludgershall Castle & several villages.....if you like walking , you will like this area .

    The Barleycorn Inn where I stayed is actually in...

    The Barleycorn Inn where I stayed is actually in Collingbourne Kingston, not Collingbourne Ducis so this review is of Collingbourne Kingston. The village was easy to get to and a great base for a driving holiday as an A road runs through it. The neighbouring houses were impressive, and one was home to a group of chickens! It has a pretty church and a large field with horses. The Barleycorn Inn where we stayed was the only eating out place we knew of in Collingbourne Kingston and we ate all our meals over our 9 night stay there.
