Welcoming, clean and with very friendly staff. Great location for Arundel and Chichester. Breakfast was great and swimming pool and table tennis were a lovely addition.

I genuinely am in love with The Elmer and the staff they employ - I have never in my life experienced the level of kindness they have given me. Miss Rachel makes the best breakfast I've ever had, the landlady is kind and thoughtful, and every other employee that I had the pleasure of coming across was an absolute angel. I stayed for over 2 weeks, and only booked under one person (as I honestly didn't expect my partner to be staying with me) but they still went out of their way to not only include my breakfast but also make him one as well which was so kind. Miss Rachel even remembered how we always had our breakfast too. It just feels like a home and you really can't beat the idyllic location it's like a 3 minute walk to the beach haha. I brought some stuffed animals with me (it's a new country so I needed the extra comfort) and the people who clean the rooms would set them up for me very cutely on the bed. :) I cannot stress enough how lovely this place is and the people who work here, I am so excited to come back again next fall to see them again and come back to my home away from home. :) <3

Excellent location. Not far from the Cathedral. Everything within an easy reach. It is a beautiful, well maintained hotel. I have recommended it to my friends and family who live in England for a weekend break.

Beachfront location was absolutely perfect. Sitting on the porch to have morning coffee and eat our morning breakfast was a relaxing way to start the day. Parking was dedicated and the drive to Goodwood Festival was a quick 20 minutes.

We have stayed at the Swan before and have always had a wonderful vist. The staff doesn't treat you like a customer, they treat you like family. The rooms are clean and comfortable with modern bathrooms. The food in the restaurant is terrific, and the location, right in the heart of Arundel is perfect. You don't need a car if you intend to just explore the town and all it has to offer. Staff members such Yvonne, Ellen, and Rebecca go out of their way to ensure you have a pleasant stay. I must add that the Swan's chef is very talented.

Central, very clean and spacious rooms. Bed very comfy. Great to have such a brilliant restaurant at the hotel to eat at.

We loved this historic estate that is now an arts college. The grounds are beautiful and the reception area has a grand common room with a warm fire to welcome us. The rooms we stayed in were basic and very affordable, but the estate itself is a mix of historic and artsy -- a perfect mix for our family. We'd love to go back and take an arts class sometime! It is within walking distance of the Weald and Downland Living Museum for those interested in exploring early domestic architecture.
