Very charming, old hotel in a lovely country village location. The staff is very friendly and helpful and the breakfasts were good. The bus to Oxford is located just out the front door and runs often, so it was really convenient. There's a nice little grocery store a few blocks away. There are also three other pubs (all with food service) within walking distance. The downstairs pub restaurant had the best chips and baked potato (aka jacket potato) we had in England. Overall, it's our favorite place where we stayed in England

Eynsham is a very pretty village with good public transport access to Oxford and the nearby market town of Witney. It is also a pretty good base for exploring villages in the Cotswolds, which are around an hour away.
Fairly unspoilt still - much as I remember growing up there. The people are friendly in shops, cafes and in the street. It was a pity the churches were locked though. I attended St. Leonard's as a girl and would loved to have gone inside. We were amazed at the great bus service into Oxford!
Eynsham is beautiful we loved our time there. I would say to be very carefull of taxi drivers as they tried to overcharge. We took two minicabs for a just under 5 mile journey first driver said £20 on the return journey I was told £45!!! Uber greatly needed in Oxford! Needless to say I gave them both the equivalent fare I would pay in London.
Nice rooms , Good breakfast, friendly owner. Not very well signed , difficult to assertain correct access. Excellent for Oxford and surrounding area. Good 'pubs' nearby , the 'Trout' especially good.
The local authority could do with cutting the hedgerows for pedestrian access, otherwise the place is lovely, we found the bus service into Oxford and surrounding area very good indeed, with lots of information available and very frequent service( unlike the country location in which we live). The local Talbot Inn is good to eat and drink at, with short waiting times for your order despite being very busy.
