Set in 3 acres of grounds, Judd’s Folly Hotel has a traditional bar, restaurant and a lounge with views over Swale Valley. Historic market town Faversham is just a 5-minute drive away. Loved the friendliness of staff, we received a very warm welcome. The surroundings of the hotel were wonderful. It was lovely to hear the birds singing when we woke up and see the sheep as we were driving in. The room was so comfortable, loved the fact that we had a fridge in the room and more than two teabags on the tea tray. Breakfast in the morning was amazing, so much choice and the sausages were delicious. Again, the staff were friendly, warming and helpful.

Copton Thatch Lodge is located in Faversham and offers a garden and barbecue facilities. Everything was lovely! The main bedroom is very spacious with a good sized bed. It got a little hot at night, but they provided a fan which really helped. The bathroom is large with nice shower. The kitchen has pretty much everything you might need (including a bottle opener and pizza cutter!!). There is a microwave, stovetop, oven, kettle, etc. We had pretty good weather so really enjoyed sitting outside at the table and enjoyed the outdoor space in front of the house. The location was nice with easy access to main roads and many grocery stores nearby. Communication and check-in were also great! Thanks for a wonderful stay.

Faversham is a small market town which is still in transition. Standard Quay is a great place to visit and can be quite vibrant. The market varies from week to week, but if they are there and you like cider, pay a visit to the Kent Cider stall. The big problem is there are very few places to stay so if you have found somewhere then count yourself lucky. Everywhere is walkable (please don't drive everywhere). The Rec is a great place to let children run off a bit of energy. There is a small cafe but it is really expensive so bring your own drinks, unless you want to pay nearly £5 for a small frappe. Spice Lounge does a decent Indian takeaway and Ozzie's is good for fish and chips. If you want a breakfast then the Moonlight Cafe is great - if you can get in. Jittermugs also do breakfasts and really, really good coffee. Enjoy your stay!
The fact it was easy to shop and had a varied market and shops. We ate at the sun (breakfast) and the New Day Festival at Mt Ephraim Gardens. Taxis hard to get. Remember to book Taxis so we wasted no time by having to wait almost an hour before managing to get one on the rank at the station.
Great small town with wonderful historic buildings. Plenty of photo opportunities. Plenty of independent little shops to explore. Loads of cafes and restaurants to choose from too. We like it so much, we would like to live there!
Nice town with a mixture of old and new. Somewhat spoilt (compared to my childhood memories) by relentless building of boring housing estates. But the centre is mostly untouched, and the creek and the marshes and the views of Sheppey haven't changed much. Nor have the downs (a little further afield).
I have been to Faversham before with a friend on the bus from Ashford. Husband hadn't been before, only a brief visit recently. We like the town, but surprised to see the big lorries frequenting the area, it obviously is a thriving, almost industrial town, I took him to the Creek, Standard Quay which is very picturesque and a nice area to wander around. One evening we got a takeaway from the Spice Lounge in Faverhsam and thoroughly enjoyed it back at our Snug. I will definitely go back with my friend, but don't think husband will be! He feels he's seen it all now, so need to, and he doesn't 'do' shopping!! My friend and I will go and wander round the shops, and lunch out.
Faversham is very quaint and pretty, with a lovely village feel. Thoroughly enjoyed looking round the town shops and lovely market. Friendly locals. Good restaurants and pubs. Lovely for a weekend break. We ate at Posillipo restaurant which is situated looking over the river. Beautiful scenery and delicious food.
Breakfast worked very well during time of Covid-19 restrictions. Good system in place to promote social distancing and cleanliness. Due to weather were able to have breakfast outside, which was pleasant. Staff very helpful. Room was clean and comfortable. Carpet in room looked new. Hotel in good location for Faversham. As visitors we drove into the town but locally living family who joined us for breakfast at the hotel walked (appears there is a cross-field route for those in the know!).
Faversham
A lovely friendly host, thank you. A beautifully clean and well kept home in whch we were made to feel welcome and comfortable. The location couldnt be any better for a stay in Faversham with the main square just five minute walk. A special mention to Archie the dog, so cute my wife wanted to take him home. We will most certainly re book as the location is perfect for exploring some of the best locations Kent has to offer.
Faversham
Front of house staff excellent in the main - big thanks to Sharon in particular - two evening meals in the restaurant were of a high quality, breakfast also similarly presented. Setting and location of the Inn was excellent as our base for exploring both Faversham and other parts of Kent locally. The room was acceptable for the price paid in terms of size.

Copton Thatch Lodge was very easy to find. It was very comfortable and although close to a road it wasn't noisy. Nice spacious shower and great garden for your sole use. A great little find
