Sensational hotel run by the commune of Ffestiniog in terms of price and what you get for your money. Really nice and accomodating staff, comfortable bed, hot shower, adjoining pub in the house but no noise, absolutely quiet, complimentary good breakfast for a small extra charge. There is nothing not to like about this place. For people who don't need 5-star hotels but still value to get worth for their money. We loved our stay here!

We had an excellent one-night stay. The hotel has clearly been updated to a high standard and feels very modern and new. Everything was spotlessly clean, from the common areas to our room. The room itself was comfortable and stylishly decorated. A real highlight was the food in the restaurant; our meals were delicious and exceeded expectations. The convenient, free on-site parking was also a major plus. This is a great choice for anyone visiting the area.

The lift to carry our luggage from the carpark fo the hotel entry was appreciated as it was raining heavily when we arrived. The young man on duty was very helpful and most interesting to talk with. We enjoyed learning the history of the place from someone who had known it well.

This place is located in a really beautiful area, the rooms are well taken care of (clean, comfortable, and very tastefully decorated), but more importantly, Sue and Mike (and Rusty!) are absolutely amazing. It was a pleasure to meet such kind people, and we were really sad to leave. And the breakfasts were the best!

There is plenty of activities you should try and I will advise everybody to take food with you because it’s very difficult to find a nice food so it’s better to cook your own food price why it outside it’s not bad but not good food

It was a perfect rural retreat.

It was a perfect rural retreat. We had a car and we’re able to visit many places of interest in under an hour. The weather was awful but we expected that as we stayed at the end of December and start of New Year and part of our hope for the mini-break was to snuggle up and stay cozy for a peaceful get away after the stress of Christmas. Additionally, as enthusiasts of narrow gauge railways we were able to drive a little way to visit a couple of different Raikways and Castles too. This stay was exactly what we hoped and we would happily have stayed longer, life permitting! We will consider returning for another break.

Fabulous area with lots to do. We were given tips about places to wild swim and walk. We were there as we were goi g to Portmerion but will defiantly return to explore. A bonus for the future was finding out about local yoga teacher who hosts retreats

Loved the people and the village/location. The room however was extremely basic, but clean. Staff were very helpful. A very lovely project for the local people who understandably wish to preserve their local establishment and they support it extremely well.

We chose to stay here as we were visiting Zip World Caverns and the location was perfect. Less than 10 minutes drive took us to two very nice pub restaurants - we managed to book into 'The Grapes' which was amazing!

We had a really lovely family stay at Tegannedd. The cottage was cosy and well-equipped with lots of thoughtful touches — plenty of plates and cutlery, hangers, an airer, and even dishwasher tablets provided. We really appreciated the complimentary soaps and shampoo, as well as the great selection of books and games. The window seating areas were especially lovely for relaxing and enjoying the views. Peaceful location despite the pub/hotel at the front, and overall a very comfortable and enjoyable stay.

Location. Dog friendly. Free Parking. Friendly and attentive staff. A community run hotel and pub. We had a large clean and comfortable bedroom. Breakfast was continental and pleasant enough. Walks based from the hotel are great especially the walk to the waterfalls. Definitely, one of the highlights for our trip to Wales.
