Secluded and very private. The hosts had everything set very well and organized and commicared very well without being the least bit intrusive. Very clean. The title of Little Getaway is very fitting. Everything you could need or want was all set for you and any questions you might have were easily labeled and or in the welcome folder or emails. If you ever come across this property, do not hesitate for 1 second. We can't recommend this highly enough. Absolute paradise - the cottage itself, the cleanliness, the location and the owners. Everything about the house is very well explained, organized and just makes sense. The cottage has everything you might need and is super comfortable. The location is incredibly peaceful with amazing views right from the bedroom. To wake up to the sight of beautiful hills and cute highland cows was an absolute delight. The owners were super nice and helpful, even provided a detailed description of landmarks in the area and just talking to them was a joy. Would 100% come back.

What a unique, off the beaten path, experience staying at the Coul House Hotel!! Stuart, the owner greeted us warmly from the moment we arrived! He was so kind and conversational with my family! Every meal was absolutely delicious. We adored the fairy garden walking trails on property. The owners and staff obviously take great pride in their work and really know how to take care of people! We also appreciated the use of two E mountain bikes on site that we could rent. Stuart mapped out suggestions for single track trails and a fun stop at a waterfall. My girls wanted to go swimming in a local Lock, so they helped us with directions and they even supplied us with towels! One afternoon, my girls just sat under the gazebo drinking tea and playing chess. The Coul hotel was a highlight of our trip and we will recommend to friends and family visiting the Highlands.

There is literally nothing to do on Garve, not even the train station has a booth. That being said, it's a wonderfully quiet little village that is perfectly located. You need your own transport but it's a great location. Strathpeffer is gorgeous and the Black River walks and falls are close by, easy to do and spectacular. Ullapool and the scenic drives around the coast are doable in a few hours.

Garve and the Bothy were very convenient for the kind of hiking that we'd planned. No shops in Garve but there is small, well stocked one at Contin (a bus ride away) and all the bigger supermarkets can deliver.

Fantastic for anyone who enjoys walking or being outside.

Fantastic for anyone who enjoys walking or being outside. Beautiful scenery, next to river and loch, many walking trails with waterfalls. No shops, pubs etc in the area, local hotel has closed down, have to drive to nearest village for shop but not too far, and also under 30 minutes to Dingwall, just under 40 to Ullapool.

Absolutely gorgeous location - our stay at Rosemount...

Absolutely gorgeous location - our stay at Rosemount Cottage and Bothy was fabulous both cottages and location absolute hidden gems. If you stay in Garve I highly recommend the cottages and I would give them both a 5 star review. Best stay in the highlands to date.

What an absolute joy to stay at Rosemount Cottage for four nights! All the information you could need for your stay was provided, and the cottage was impeccably clean. The living room space was a highlight for our late-November stay. With extra deep seating, warm blankets, and a log burner, it would be nearly impossible to not feel at home here. The Christmas decorations were an added bonus to the ambiance! We explored the sights near Garve and further out, and the cottage was a wonderful place to recharge. Hope to return again one day!

One of the best and most memorable properties where I have stayed. Everything from the location, cleanliness and the facilities provided. The kitchen was well equipped with sufficient utensils to prepare your meals. For those preferring to stay and feel the nature it is a perfect property as you are not very far from the Garve town and still in a nice, serene environment. Would love to stay againg

Very friendly welcome on arrival, staff seemed to be enjoying their work together, stunning location. Most comfortable hotel bed ever, and selection of gels and lotions nice. Sadly didn't dine, but bar had a friendly atmosphere and the food did look amazing.
