It is a beautiful area to be enjoyed, We made trips to the Drumtochty Higland Games. The way getting there is TO BEAUTIFUL. Had a day out to The Bow Fiddlers rock in Portnockie and Fort George. The country side is TOOOOO BEAUTIFUL. The distilleries are everywhere. Hard to choice one BUT Glenfarclas is to be visited!!! The Cairngorms National Park is beautiful for any way of traveling
Wonderful area, lovely scenery with lots to see and do. Some good pubs / restaurants, plenty of world class whisky distilleries (if that is your thing) and castles/wildlife parks/walks all within easy driving distance.
Scenic and peaceful highlands. Very special amazing gods country. Loved it we didn't want to come home. The croft inn good is first class good quality food and reasonably priced. The little puffins in granton on spey was amazing. Landmark was great at carrbridge. Aviemore was great we went on the quad bikes which was fab.
The whole area is like traveling through a series of post cards. The weather superb, lambs gamboling in green meadows, very friendly locals, picturesque villages etc. We loved the tours of the Abelour and The Glenlivet distilleries. The gourmet food shop across the road from the Co-op in Abelour had wonderful picnic food. We wish we'd had more time to enjoy walking around the Spey and walks in general.
