Lovely Grasmere stay at the Wordsworth Hotel, amazing landscape of Lake District, walking tracks, few steps away was the grave of famous English poet William Wordsworth and Daffodil Garden, cosy, comfortable, airy, clean room with all facilities, although I had dinner outside in the town, hotel had good menu and multiple choice of food selection, good breakfast with vegan option, very near to other attractions like Ambleside of Lake Windermere, free on-site car park, loved the property, will definitely come and stay there again.

Isolated location a mile out of Grasmere. Good breakfast, no dinner. Poor view from room, room itself dated. Bathroom small but we’ll fitted. Furniture in common parts dated a pretty basic.Never saw owners just three girls aged early 20’s.

The location to access the area and local atteactions. We went to the motor museum which was our second visit there. Great for the price and friendly staff as well. We went to Jackson’s Model shop in Wigton which was a lovely drive. A walk around the town and stopped for coffee. On the way back we went to Keswick and the market was on. Keswick was much busier but we were able to park easy enough.

An amazing town that is surrounded by Wainrights, all an easy walk away. Not as busy or commercial as the other lakes towns. A very good and regular bus service to all the major towns. A good mix of bars and restaurants and the famous gingerbread is well worth a try. Helm Crag, Silverhow and Stone Arthur are very close if you fancy bagging a few Wainrights. A lovely town, will definitely be back.

Great central location for all the lake district regular bus service.Lots of shops places to eat and walks for all abilaties.Good food at tweedies and the swan.Great walk round grasmere and rydal water to badgers bar takes about 11/2 to 2hrs.

Grasmere lake is one of my favourite lakes .
Grasmere lake is one of my favourite lakes . This year was the first year we went on a rowing boat on Grassmere. It’s hard work great fun just head through the village around the lake and you’ll find the faeryland boats on the left They’re really helpful and give good instructions. It’s a great base to travel around the lakes. Could do with a few more restaurants as we struggled to find somewhere to eat after 8 pm when we came back from our travels.

Beautiful place with nice shops and a few places to eat, good bus service to other areas in the Lake District. Grasmere gingerbread is very much a must and a visit to Wordsworth’s daffodil garden and his home are also worth a trip.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Wordsworth Hotel. We stayed in a spacious bedroom with very comfortable bed and high-spec bathroom. We loved the pool and spa facilities. Best of all was the food, we can highly recommend the four course menu at the Signature Restaurant. The staff were excellent, and we would like to thank our waiter Vlad for exceptional service at dinner and breakfast. All in all a great place to stay in Grasmere and we look forward to coming back soon.

We found some maps of local trails in the common room and decided to follow one of them - Easedale Tarn. Beautiful! Hosts were very welcoming as well. Absolutely fantastic stay at Tweedies, our favourite place right in the heart of Grasmere. Everything was superb. The breakfast, the room all excellent and the staff deserve an award! Whilst slightly low on numbers, their heart and service were exemplary. Our room was also huge!
