Boasting a seasonal outdoor swimming pool, a fitness center, and a bar, 12 Valley Lodge provides accommodations in Gunnislake with free WiFi and garden views. The lodge was ideally situated for so many areas. It was well maintained and a fully stocked kitchen was great. Very clean and comfortable 👌 The staff were very friendly and helpful. Lovely stay.
Lovely lodge with a fantastic upper balcony overlooking the trees, very peaceful and relaxing. The lodge was perfectly clean and had everything we needed. We had the best Sunday roast in the pub onsite, £9.50 for two courses - it was so good! All staff were really friendly and super helpful.
This is the village I grew up in and has not changed much in the 40 odd years I have been away. It is located on the Cornish side of the picturesque Tamar valley and is ideal for day trips to both Dartmoor and Bodmin moor. Closer to visit is Morwellham quay a must to see and the nearby ancient stannary town of Tavistock which connected Morwellham by canal.
We stayed one night for a wedding in the next village. The rooms were clean and comfortable, really comfy beds. Staff very accommodating and the breakfast delicious. The stairway and toilets are a bit dated and could do with a lick of paint and stair carpet cleaned. The price you pay reflects this so if you are looking for something a bit more modern then expect to pay more. Totally fine with us as all we wanted was somewhere cheap to sleep so would actually say it was better than expected.
Extremely pretty countryside location. It helped having a car to make the most of the surrounding area. The Donkey Sanctuary is delightful and people should definitely visit and support them, we fed and groomed the donkeys and even took a donkey for a walk. Short distance to Plymouth for the town and Aquarium. Tavistock is nearby with a huge Morrisons and lovely market.
Quiet little place but not far from other villages, beautiful scenery . If you don't mind driving around there's lots of choice, The local pub food is good. The train station is literally across the road so you don't have to drive . Lovely walks Craft shops Cream teas Adventure places
We were visiting elderly parents for a family reunion just for the weekend. We needed 3 rooms. It was holiday season so many places were booked up. We knew the area but not the standard of the pub. We knew the reviews were poor but it was the proprietors rude attitude that most unacceptable.
