Set within an elegant Georgian Townhouse in the center of Highworth, The Highworth Hotel overlooks a historic high street and is located on the edge of the Cotswolds Area of Outstanding Natural... Very comfortable and inviting. The people (staff) make the property! Everyone was professional, hospitable, and exceptionally accommodating!
Overlooking a lake and parkland, Stanton House Hotel is an beautiful stone house that nestles amid the picturesque Wiltshire countryside. There are two restaurants and all rooms are en suite. Everything . . . .This hotel is in a superb location and the hotel and grounds are stunning. Staff are friendly and helpful and the food is excellent. I had a dual aspect room overlooking the gardens and everything in my room worked without an issue including the FREE wifi.
Located in South Marston, 29 mi from Newbury, The Lily Pad features a garden and free WiFi. Everything was perfect, Just before Christmas I was stuck in Swindon on my way to France, wasnt happy about it.. Just when I thought I wont find anywhere to stay, I found this Inn, where I felt almost like home :)
Set in 30 acres of beautiful Wiltshire countryside, the 4-star Swindon Blunsdon House Hotel, BW Premier Collection has 2 restaurants, 3 bars and leisure facilities including an indoor pool. I stayed one night with my family during my two days trip to Cotswolds and the location was really nice. The rooms were clean with helping and courteous staffs and all the Covid measures were followed in true spirits.
Highworth is a lovely small market town with lots of interesting history. It has a very useful visitor centre with a small museum. The surrounding area is beautiful with a lot of ancient historical monuments and sites within easy reach. The cotswolds are on the doorstep and it is an easy trip to Bath.
Loved the location and fantastic food. Room quite tired and could do with comfier beds. Great value for money. Met some friendly locals full of knowledge of the town's history including the tunnels that go under the town from every pub to the church. There's even an original door to it in the cellar bar a few doors down from the Saracen. We are vegetarians but even I was tempted with the food on offer in andd outside the local butchers and the Saturday market was a pleasure to walk round.
windows need work to dampen down the exterior noise. mattresses need up grading as springs were felt every night, may i recommend for the hotel to maybe invest in "toppers" for the mattresses ! I would stop here again but I would bring a mattress topper. Ear plugs blocked out the road noise, which to be fair was not a lot but I am a lite sleeper, but i needed a mattress topper for a good nights sleep. Food from the hotel was the best we have had on our extensive country wide travels. and beer was reasonably priced too.
Check that there isn't anything going on as it was really busy and struggled to park. But overall it was a lovely place to stay, will go back again in the future as not to far to travel as so near to the zoo. 8
I liked the quaintness of the old Georgian building. The beautifully decorated rooms. The staff were superb! Would like a fridge in the room & AC. Better parking facilities. Enjoyed nearby places of interest such as Birdland.
Great characterful property, brilliant staff who were extremely welcoming, friendly and helpful, good sized room with character from the beams, very clean, and the food for both dinner and breakfast was lovely. Would thoroughly recommend this hotel.
