Built in 1841 as a Georgian Spa Hotel, the Worsley Arms Hotel offers an exquisite, timeless country house setting with open log fires and stylish furnishings. The food is excellent - We had an Evening meal and Breakfast, both were outstanding. The Cricketers Bar with the real fire is warm and welcoming and so cosy. The whole building is exactly as you expect a country Hotel/Pub to be. Full of charm and character. The owner's Tony and Sally go above and beyond to make you feel welcome. They are on duty when you go to bed and when you get up for Breakfast. Both work incredibly hard to make your stay excellent.
Secret View Cottage in Terrington, York, a property with a terrace, is located in York, 12 miles from Bettys Cafe Tea Rooms, 13 miles from National Railway Museum, as well as 13 miles from York City... exceptional design & finish - bedding sublime - water pressure & temperature 100% - well by done Lindsey
Everything was great. If we had realised about the cottages opposite, we would have chosen those to save us using the stairs in the main Hotel. We liked the flexibility of meal times. We enjoyed a walk around picturesque Hovingham, the church and Tea rooms. Close by, the Lavender Fields, Helmsley, and Moors. Also Nunnington Hall and Rievaulx Abbey. A day trip to Saltburn by the Sea is a chance to smell the sea air.
Lovely small village. Only pub now more an eatery. Lovely bakery and another food shop. Walks around about including Ebor way. Near to NT nunnington hall. Castle Howard only 5 miles or 8 minutes drive away.
Picturesque village with all the amenities needed on holiday, a lovely bakery, coffee shops, restaurants and a small grocery. The village is situated perfectly for visiting many of the Yorkshire popular sights, Castle Howard, York, Whitby, Helmsley and many more beautiful towns. It is also perfect for walking, many lovely walks close by.
easy to get around, parking a problem on market days, we ate at Hovingham arms, EXCEPTIONAL, Carlton Inn, very good, stapleton inn, good, lots to see and do , love the handmade chocolate factory, spent £50 on gifts, the chocolate is absolutely wonderful ( hutton le hole )
The village is very old with history. There were shops and a pub we wanted to visit but our short stay didn’t allow us the time. We arrived later than expected so again that stopped us seeing and visiting all on offers
Small quiet village with good pubs and friendly Yorkshire people. No street lights to pollute the sky with beautiful shining stars. Very dog friendly with nice simple local walks. Lovely child's playground over the ford. Small village store. Dog friendly hotel Worsley Arms. Easy to walk about the village. Beautiful stone houses with well maintained gardens.
Food excellent Staff very friendly Would definitely recommend this hotel.
