We booked this place after seeing positive reviews with a few negative ones that we overlooked. Kingcraig Castle has a good curb appeal--looks great from the outside with nice grounds. The romance of a "Castle" location can be appealing for some as it was for us. However...
Tuckers Inn has a shared lounge, terrace, a restaurant and bar in Invergordon.

The Inn was exactly what you would want in a Scottish inn, with spacious and well-appointed rooms that provided a comfortable and relaxing atmosphere. The beds were comfortable, and the showers had ample towels. The staff were friendly and ensured our stay was enjoyable.
The on-site restaurant at Tuckers Inn was very good. The menu offered an excellent selection of dishes that were were prepared. The staff was friendly and professional, providing attentive service that elevated the overall dining experience. Whether you're seeking a cozy retreat or a stop for a good dinner, Tuckers Inn delivers on both fronts with its spacious accommodations and restaurant.

The space was clean and welcoming, it is a great option to camping or a hotel with children. Our kids loved it and wanted to extend our stay - they visited the animals, played on the structure and there was even a little soccer net for them! It was very relaxing for us. We added breakfast on which is a great value. I would be sure to go back when visiting again.

The property was phenomenal! Beautiful location. Beautiful decoration. Food was delicious. Staff very helpful and friendly. We had a great time and would recommend to anyone looking to stay in the Inverness area. Great location to Dunrobin Castle and Glenmorangie Distillery.
Commercial Hotel offers accommodations in Alness. Boasting luggage storage space, this property also provides guests with a restaurant and a bar. Free WiFi is available throughout the hotel.
It was or has been a nice little town or village. I think it would benefit from development and individual shops and cafes and restaurants. We had a job to get a coffee in the the high street but eventually found one. There is potential and especial as big cruise liners come in more needs to be done to encourage spending. I really didn't see much evidence of being able to buy nice individual items.

You will need to travel as Invergordon itself has nothing to offer really, very little in the way of places to eat and drink so we went to the next town to use the supermarket and takeaways there. It has nice coastal views, especially from the property and there are some ventures as you leave Invergordon with parking spaces outside where you can sit, take a picnic or a takeaway and enjoy the view. We just used it as a base to travel around which is something most people do in Scotland. It was lovely sitting outside in the evening, looking at the sea view at the front of the house. Jacuzzi Jets don’t work in the bath and the ensuite shower runs quite cool. You can’t watch normal TV channels on the TV i.e. ITV BBC etc we’ve just watched our own Netflix account or used iPlayer, ITVX. Everything else is absolutely perfect. The house is large, spacious, clean and well equipped with beautiful big windows.

Lovely little town. Great place to walk around.
Lovely little town. Great place to walk around. Has some shops, transport to Inverness and few pubs.
Pretty pictures painted onto buildings is a lovely touch to brighten up the town. Didn't spend much time here but would explore more next time. The locals I spoke to seemed friendly and a few even said hello in the passing. Place was pretty clean.
The views were lovely.

Invergordon is a working town with big yards down at seafront. I stayed whilst there was not a lot of work going on, so was nice and quiet. Not sure what it would be like with full scale production going on. If you like this kind of thing then a few interesting things to see, especially when the big cruise ships come in. Invergordon is central to many lovely areas in Highlands.

Probably the only good thing is the cheap prices you can find in hotels. The rest nope... it is a boring, ugly town, views to oil rigs, no shops (just one supermarket and a gas station, plus a souvenir store). One bar full of locals, where you will feel like an alien being stared at and judged... long story short, try to avoid it.

AVOID! Worst place I have stayed in for years.
AVOID! Worst place I have stayed in for years. Toilet roll half used, had to ask for another one, shower nearly working, two towels out instead of three, breakfast a joke ‘help yourself to continental’ which was apple juice off, bread out of date - we left and found it elsewhere. Not good…
Location great. My husband grew up in the area, so we were under no illusions to where we were going to stay. But the brown water from the hot tap and the dripping tap for a shower (which was also brown water), was just too much to tolerate. Thank god we have family in Invergordon where we could go get a shower and breakfast.
Nice but rather oldschool hotel, with supernice stuff! My room was simple yet functional, and clean. The breakfast was excellent, and there is also a possibility to have dinner & drinks in the bar.
Excellent location near Inverness and NC500. Local restaurants nearby (10 minutes by car in Invergordon). Charlie was a particular highlight as well (charming family dog).
The environment is totally different to a conventional hotel. The Glamping were clean and nice. It’s a pretty small but comfortable. You should arrive there by car.
