There was no breakfast provided but instead there were plenty of fruit, milk, tea bags, cereals, biscuits provided for fruit (large quantities left in a fridge with cutleries and everything) which was really great and felt like having a proper breakfast. Also the room was very clean and bright.

Rooms are good size, new, clean and have a fun decor. Nice little touches with chocolate, Nespresso, etc. There are two nice walks from the hotel, one to the Castle and one along the river. Town is walkable. Designated parking was nice. Restaurant had some of the best food we had in England.
Located just 2 miles from the center of historic Lancaster and near the university, the Lancaster House Hotel offers a choice of dining experience, beauty and hair salons, and a fantastic health club....

Great town, castle, HMP jail museum to explore and learn about, great beach nearby at Morecambe - £2.70 return train ticket with rail card. Or £2 on the bus. Pretty good for shopping, good selection of cafes, restaurants, and wide choice of stay types and locations. Charming historic city with lots to see and do.
Charming historic city with lots to see and do.
The city is home to two universities and has over 20,000 students staying at any time so the city is vibrant diverse and appealing.
A stone throw from the Lake District and Morcomb so a really great base for moving about but a wonderful city to move in with an abundance of enjoyable attractions, a central bus station to attractions and a main railway station.
Lancaster is a really wonderful city.

Very conveniently located for access to the M6 motorway,...
Very conveniently located for access to the M6 motorway, into Lancaster itself, into Morecambe but also inland into the countryside.
Rooms are the usual fare – clean and tidy but long corridors and a bit soulless.
Food is good.
Remember to register your vehicle registration otherwise you get a parking ticket. We weren't told this and have had to appeal against the ticket. If we lose it's a £100 fine.
I use Lancaster University Guest Rooms when I pick up my son from uni. As they are on-campus they are VERY convenient, and whilst they are basic they are also very cheap, which is the main attraction. Functional, and the check-in and out system is straight forward. We have also used these rooms for short Lake Distric breaks. The southern Lakes are only 45 mins away by car and the accommodation is so much cheaper than Ambleside hotels!
The hotel when you first see it is exceptional, beautiful building, very well kept, clean and inviting, in a great location for train and bus stations, ideally situation to all places of interest especially being situation 2 min from Lancaster castle, the rooms are very spacious, clean well looked after and the staff were so helpful, warming, friendly at all times, you would have a fantastic stay i would recommend it.
Don’t think I’ve ever stopped anywhere quite so welcoming and cheerful. Everyone was so happy and helpful. The hotel was lovely, comfortable and convenient for the university, leisure facilities were lovely and the breakfast and service at breakfast were superb. I just hope my son chooses Lancaster uni to study at so I can stop again soon!
Excellently equipped and comfortable hotel in the centre of Lancaster. Staff were very pleasant and chatty. Room and bathroom were very clean and bed was really comfy.
