Great hiking for either new hikers or someone who really wants to have a casual trip. For more relaxed days the beach at the lake is great and the climate is wonderful for even a day of reading beneath the sky or by a window.
Lovely place for walkers and trekkers. I felt safe to walk alone around the lake. Friendly locals. It is a truly mesmerising place to be, with ancient forest and sandy beach and endless well-trodden walking trails around the lake and beyond. A must see. A choice of three cafes to eat in.
