Pine Marten Bar Glenmore Glamping in Aviemore provides accommodations with a garden and a bar. The glamping pods have access to a shared sauna and shared bathroom facilities. My first time in a glamping pod. A nice mix of "camping" with the comfort of a real bed, microwave and tea kettle. The toilets in showers are under the bar/cafe and only for the glamping guests. I slept very well both nights. Easy walk to trails, Loch, and Cairngorm Reindeer Centre. Extremely helpful staff.
Camusmore House is a detached holiday home featuring a garden and a hot tub on a terrace, located in Coylumbridge in the Highlands Region. Great location, great facilities, especially bedroom downstairs with on-suite bathroom, ideal for my elderly parents .Garden was perfect for our dogs as fully fenced. Hot tub amazing. Great walks and restaurants nearby. Very comfortable beds. Lounge with wood burning stove and large window was good. All the family loved watching all the wild birds ,red squirrels and highland cattle. A truly relaxing break.
Set in the Cairngorms National Park, the Coylumbridge Hotel offers a wide range of activities including a dry ski slope and pool. The hotel also features 2 restaurants and 2 bars. Stayed here 42 years ago. Room decor seemed little different. Breakfast excellent. Staff attentive.
Great hiking for either new hikers or someone who really wants to have a casual trip. For more relaxed days the beach at the lake is great and the climate is wonderful for even a day of reading beneath the sky or by a window.
Lovely place for walkers and trekkers. I felt safe to walk alone around the lake. Friendly locals. It is a truly mesmerising place to be, with ancient forest and sandy beach and endless well-trodden walking trails around the lake and beyond. A must see. A choice of three cafes to eat in. An impressive and inspiring museum about the history of reindeers in Scotland near the lake and next to the hostel, with the arranged trips to see real reindeers with their passionate and dedicated herders. Easy to get from Aviemore, 15min ride with the local bus 31. Train from Inverness 25 min.
Beautiful setting. We had a BBQ on the beach one night and the kids all went swimming! We also had a nice walk around the loch. A bit muddy but good fun. Also very relaxing; all good for a tired teacher!
