Cairngorm Lodge Youth Hostel is housed in a former Scottish shooting lodge, offering stunning views of the Northern Corries. Location was perfect. Walking distance to loch morloich and the reindeer centre and a quick drive to Aviemore and a host of other activities. We had breakfast and dinner . It was so busy we couldn't get booked anywhere for food however we were not disappointed. There was 9 of us and we all had 3 course meals with beers and soft drinks, empty plates and happy people all round. The staff couldn't have been more accommodating. Excellent service. Very comfortable beds.

Camusmore House is a detached holiday home featuring a garden and a hot tub on a terrace, located in Coylumbridge in the Highlands Region. We had a lovely relaxing stay with our family recently. Girls loved the hot tub and we all loved the stunning views from the huge picture window in the sitting room. Saw deer and red squirrels as well as numerous little birds. Ideally located near all the attractions and walks of Aviemore. Loved cooking on the Aga stove, where the others appreciated the convenience of the electric oven and hob too. The log fire was a welcomed bonus on the cooler evenings. Will definitely be back!

Set in the Cairngorms National Park, the Coylumbridge Hotel offers a wide range of activities including a dry ski slope and pool. The hotel also features 2 restaurants and 2 bars. Stayed here 42 years ago. Room decor seemed little different. Breakfast excellent. Staff attentive.
Great hiking for either new hikers or someone who really wants to have a casual trip. For more relaxed days the beach at the lake is great and the climate is wonderful for even a day of reading beneath the sky or by a window.
Lovely place for walkers and trekkers. I felt safe to walk alone around the lake. Friendly locals. It is a truly mesmerising place to be, with ancient forest and sandy beach and endless well-trodden walking trails around the lake and beyond. A must see. A choice of three cafes to eat in. An impressive and inspiring museum about the history of reindeers in Scotland near the lake and next to the hostel, with the arranged trips to see real reindeers with their passionate and dedicated herders. Easy to get from Aviemore, 15min ride with the local bus 31. Train from Inverness 25 min.
