Located at the heart of this historic seaside town. Just between the large "party beach" and the sublime causeway with beautiful views of the Dorset headlands. The pub/restaurant was a delight, with good food, great ales and outstanding service. Easy to find a seaside table. The Southwest Coast Trail goes right past here and the eastern section was breathtaking.

Beautifully decorated apartment in a gorgeous listed building, fantastic location in the middle of town so very easy to walk everywhere and so close to the sea! Lovely to be provided with all the essentials, tea, coffee, milk, dishwasher tablets, kitchen towels and loo rolls….and the biscuits and wine were a real treat. Parking permit was much appreciated. Bed was really comfortable and the bathroom was lovely. Really quiet location in town too, and the little park opposite is very pretty. Detailed info before we arrived was very helpful, and the owners were very keen to make sure we were having a good stay. We met the lady who did all the cleaning, she was lovely and was clearly doing a great job as the place was spotless. Lyme Regis is a gorgeous town, so much to see and do, and of course the location on the Jurassic Coast is fantastic especially for anyone who likes coastal walking (or fossils…of course). Restaurants were all really busy…best to book ahead. We had a fantastic short break and would highly recommend this place to stay.

We try to visit Lyme Regis every year. We have been in all seasons. Magical in December, a perfect place for a week away from it all in February and a pleasure at the height of summer. Lovely food shops, wonderful ice cream and fish and chips. At any time of year come dressed just to sit by the sea and take in the view.

Lovely seaside town.
Lovely seaside town. Lots of cafes, restaurants, pubs, galleries and gift shops. Sandy beach, safe for children. A walk out along the Cobb (the sea wall) is a must for any visitor. Beware it is expensive, food and drink very overpriced but it seems to be attacting the kind of visitors for whom high prices are not an issue!

Lyme Regis is a lovely seaside resort with plenty of quirky shops and places to eat. Unfortunately Lyme Regis is very hilly and they are mostly very steep. We would not have stayed if we had known. We were hoping for a car free break but this was not the case! Due to cartilage problems with my Husbands knee he was unable to climb the hills!

Always ensure you have a car park the closest to the beach...
Always ensure you have a car park the closest to the beach as possible as quite a big hill if you are wheelchair bound. To other car parks. And make sure you leave as early as possible to get a favourable spot on the beach.
You are spoilt for choice for lovely eateries coffees and ice cream an ideal spot for couples with young children as everything within close proximity for them but be mindful of the busy winding road coming into the town of Lyme Regis.
A great thing to do is to walk along the cob and breezier and cooler the harbour end on a really warm day.
Check out Lyme bay fish and chips the harbour end best fish and chips we've ever tasted. And if you have children with you a boat trip is great and the aquarium there.
Great place to eat was the Cob arms my husband loved the steak and great variety of mixed fish platters to try.

Lyme Regis is a stunning town with everything you need right on your doorstep. Always immaculately maintained and clean and tidy - if you get up early you can see the beach being cleaned every morning. Lovely restaurants, coffee shops, and typical seaside businesses. I have been visiting Lyme for many years, it is my go-to for a relaxing break in one of the most stunning areas of the UK.

Lyme Regis is a very beautiful little town and very clean,...
Lyme Regis is a very beautiful little town and very clean, even the beach is cleaned daily. Loads of places to eat and drink on sea front, couple of places to stay that are reasonable. Not a great deal of things to do in town but easy access to other places. Quiet hilly place so might be difficult for the infirm.
Well equipped and finished to a high standard, providing a very comfortable base. Perfect for a solo traveller or as a romantic getaway. The welcome pack with personalised postcard was an unexpected but welcome bonus - a really nice touch.
All amenities are just a short walk away. Communication from the hosts was excellent.
Knowing Lyme Regis, I'd travelled by train and bus (20-minute bus journey from Axminster), so the lack of parking was not an issue.
Without hesitation, I would definitely stay here again.
It was a lovely quiet and peaceful setting. Close to Lyme Regis and Charmouth. Beautiful dining room with large window overlooking the garden. Breakfasts were cooked fresh while we ate our cereal and fruit. Room was clean and well equipped. Sue was happy to provide anything extra we needed.
Beautiful hotel with plush fittings. Attentive and friendly hosts. Peaceful location a short distance to Lyme Regis. Excellent breakfast. Welcomed our dog and treated with respect. Fenced area for dogs to have a decent run. Highly recommend.
An excellent location in the lovely sea side town of Lyme Regis, with the sea close by and the Jurassic museum behind the hotel. All of the staff encountered were polite smart and helpful. Breakfast was fresh and well made.
