Extremely welcoming and attentive staff. Very clean room, good shower pressure, piping hot water. Delicious breakfast. Very comfortable bed, high quality linen. Very happy to recommend (and always have done so to friends).

The Lodge is a super stop over location. It is a super mix of golf club, hotel, bar and mini restaurant. It isn't a hotel - it is much more homely and comfortable. The staff are all very helpful and accommodating. We had a super wee bar supper from the bar menu, which was as advertised and reasonably priced. All in all, this location is a 'keeper' and we will be using it again to break our trips South at Edinburgh.

Beautiful hotel in a nice and quiet area. Staff were lovely and always available and willing to help. Food was also great and much cheaper than eating in the city centre. There are quite a few parking spaces, so we never had to worry about not finding a place to park.

Within walking distance of picturesque Haddington and just 26 km from Edinburgh, Maitlandfield House boasts quality, efficiency, traditional charm and original elegance.
