Peaceful location, lovely courtyard room with everything needed, including a very comfortable bed. Fantastic breakfast and excellent evening meal on the day we chose to eat there. It was nice staying next to the bar - we could have a drink in the evening without worrying about who was going to drive. We're not golfers, but learned a bit about the sport while we were there! Also was great to be so close to the Nature Reserve and able to walk around Rutland Water.

The room was absolutely spectacular, well stocked with teas and coffees and toiletries, the bathroom was so impressively nice, so much larger than I anticipated! The staff was absolutely the kindest, most helpful and attentive hotel staff I’ve ever encountered. The location was lovely and the restaurant delicious. I have absolutely no complaints :)

On arrival the staff were very friendly. We'd asked for an early check in, and they pulled out all the stops to have it ready within 10 minutes of arrival. All staff, whether serving us or not, greeted us and were friendly. We were attending a wedding nearby and so asked if they could order us a taxi and they actually rang round to get us our preferred time. The room was quaint and comfortable and plenty of room. The bed was super comfy and everything very clean. We ordered breakfast which was well cooked and very nice. We enjoyed our stay so much that we promised ourselves that we'd return for a full weekend in Oakham and definitely stay here.
