Gail and Rob are excellent hosts and gave a lovely welcome (with Dexter). The apartment was spotless, super clean, has everything you need and is very comfortable. I will be back, hopefully with a motorbike next time! Highly recommend Stone Eater, loved it!

The cottage has wonderful views and a very pretty semi wild garden, it was spacious, well laid out and very well decorated. Very comfortable beds with top quality bed linen and towels, the sofa bed was the best I have ever seen. The kitchen had everything and was also spacious and well laid out. Good wifi and good choice on the TV's. We have been staying in the general area to visit family for over 5 years and this is definitely the best place we have found to date, and I think it would be hard to beat!

Marsden was lovely, beautiful surroundings.
Marsden was lovely, beautiful surroundings. However, we struggled to find a cafe/eaterie with decent vegan options anywhere. It would be nice to find a nice place that caters for everyone. Outdoor swimming not far away.

Marsden is a small-ish country town with some great family (and dog)-friendly pubs and independent bakeries. Surrounded by very scenic moorland, the trans-Pennine canal runs nearby with visits available to the incredible Stanedge tunnel (4 miles long)!

From $132 per nightThis cottage was just what the two of us needed for a short break. Very cosy with great views over the countryside. The village of Marsden is just a couple of minutes down the road in car, with plenty of nice walks nearby. We met the owner while we were there who was very friendly and keen to ensure that we liked the cottage. Overall a very enjoyable stay and we would recommend this cottage to any couple looking for a break in the countryside.

The chalet was ideal, warm and clean to a very high standard. Lovely furnishings and ideal for solo travellers or couples. The space had everything required for a long or short break.
