The whole surroundings were perfect for our little getaway. Only issue and not a big one garden wasn't enclosed so our dog was left on long lead but definitely will be back

Owners Paul and Lorinda go out of their way to be helpful. Because the room we booked needed an urgent repair we were put in a lovely suite on the top floor. There was a separate dressing room and small refrigerator. The breakfast is just the right size and there is a good choice of fruit, cereals etc.

The room was clean and spacious. Beds were super comfy. I slept like a log and we spent the majority of our time on our beds so the fact that we were comfortable was ideal. Breakfast was filling and freshly cooked. My son had the kippers which made a nice change for him as it's not something usually offered on a breakfast menu. I had the full english as I'm a creature of habit, both of which were just what we needed to set us up for the day and very reasonably priced too. We booked in advance which saved us a couple of pounds but would have happily paid the full price. Christmas day lunch in their sister restaurant was amazing and well worth the price. The staff in both sites were amazing, helpful, polite and courteous.

    Had really great meals at the Chichester Arms in Mortehoe,...

    Had really great meals at the Chichester Arms in Mortehoe, and the Grampus in Lee (1 1/2 hour walk). Interesting wildlife - saw willow warbler, raven and even Dartford warbler! Mortehoe is very small but has a few places to eat, and it's very close to Woolacombe, with a lot more. Surfing, walking and bird-watching were our main activities. Also enjoyed a walk along the Lyn river from Lynmouth (1/2 hr drive) towards the Watersmeet cafe. Beautiful woodland. Saw grey heron, grey wagtail and dipper.

    Pretty village with access to the coastal path so plenty of walks. Car park in the village so easy to park and walk. Would recommend a visit to Miss Fea’s Bistro if you are staying in the village - delicious food and dog friendly!

    Mortehoe is a small village above Woolacombe Bay if you are experienced walkers and like the challenge of a hilly coast path then this would suit you. Every where it is very hilly and challenging to walk.

    We love our getaway trip to Mortehoe especially The Old Vicarage. We have been several times now and will continue to do so. Its a real home from home and because its dog friendly we love it! Our favourite is Mailscot as the views of the garden are stunning.

    The property was spacious with spectacular views. Great master bedroom, 2 double rooms, conservatory and patio area. Ample parking. Hot tub is a great facility to unwind in at the end of the day. Good location to the pubs and food outlets in Mortehoe.

    Fab location in mortehoe just around the corner from pubs and chippie very quiet free parking which is a premium as most people have to pay extra apartment has everything you need for your stay Great views would highly recommend

    Location is superb, Mortehoe is splendid, we literally had Mediterranean weather all week, and saw some stunning sunsets. The cottage was simply perfect, particularly the garden. No hesitation in rebooking.
