Town a bit sad ( as are many) with quite a few closed shops.

Town a bit sad ( as are many) with quite a few closed shops. Seafront fine but town very tired. Very little by way of 'good quality' restaurants especially for British style food (but OK if you want chips with everything...!). It's on a frequent coastal bus route ( Brixham - go to the superb and free Heritage museum and Torquay in yhe other direction) so, once there, the car stayed parked.

Great location to travel to other places.

Great location to travel to other places. Regular buses from the bus station, which is just a short walk to get to and along with a train station. Plenty of places to visit and lots of things to do in all weathers. There’s the pier with lots of different things to do on it with different machines, a park or cinema to go to and there are shops for retail therapy. Plenty to do for all the family.

A pleasant seaside resort, not too overcrowded, it was very relaxing. I enjoyed visiting the nearby zoo and taking a trip on the steam railway to Dartmouth. I would definitely go back and try visit more places nearby next time so for me it was a perfect base.

Typical seaside town, but pleasant enough for a couple of days. I didn't have a car and it would've been nice to have been able to drive further down the south west coast. Disappointed with Paignton zoo, there wasn't enough animals to look at, like elephants, rhinos, lions and hippos. OK for a few days

Paignton is a great place for families and for solo travellers like me. So much to see in and around the area. I visited many national trust places including Greenways holiday home of Agatha Christie.

The staff were extremely friendly and helpful during our stay.Only had a short walk to beach and fun fair straight across from hotel which shut down at 9pm for you early birds I'd suggest a room at the rear.We ate at the Palace Hotel on first evening which wasn't to our liking but it seemed busy throughout the week. This was our first holiday in Devon and the Palace pulled us to paighton which is great with lots to keep the whole family busy definitely would reccomend this Hotel and paighton.

2nd visit for me and my 3 year old. The pool is fabulous, the rooms are comfortable and clean and the staff are super friendly. The breakfast is nice too, very accommodating of the 3 year olds fussy palette! Perfect base, next to the beach, close to shops and restaurants. I actively seek this hotel every time I look at going to Paignton, (which is only an hour on the train from my home so the stay isnt actually necessary) purely cos I like staying there! Will no doubt be back again.

All the ingredients for a good breakfast (eg toast, cereals, fruit juice,...) were available for you to make yourself in the perfectly equipped kitchen. And with a spacious dining room with sea views it was great. Our bedroom had a sea view and we woke up to sunshine and views in the morning. The hotel is just a short walk from the train and bus stations so we were able to get out and about with ease.

I love St Weonards it's the best B&B in Paignton in Devon fact period! Such a clean environment such a lovely smelling environment like home from home. This B&B is 100 % out of 100% if I could live there I most certainly would & wouldn't have any issues in living there at all.
