In the heart of Peterborough, the exclusive 4-star Bull Hotel is across from the Queensgate shopping center. Its location is its number one asset but once there it meets its 4* billing.
The Holiday Inn Express Peterborough offers rooms with attached bathroom with a flat-screen TV with Freeview and power showers. The rooms were excellent clean, well appointed. and overall the hotel was fanatastic value.
Just 5 minutes’ walk from Peterborough Rail Station, this stylish, modern hotel features spacious rooms with double walk-in showers and city views. Guests can also enjoy the grill restaurant and bar. We arrived late one evening and the staff worked hard to find us a room that would fit the family. The staff brought up water and glasses without being asked and they made us feel comfortable and right at home.
The Peterborough Marriott Hotel is opposite the East of England Showground and close to the A1. Large rooms are en suite and there are excellent leisure facilities including a pool and gym. Room was clean, good size. Well equipped. Staff friendly and helpful. Lots of choices at breakfast. Stayed before and would use again

Centrally located in Peterborough, The Queensgate Hotel offers its own Mediterranean restaurant and a wellness center. I loved everything about the Queensgate Hotel. I was greeted by a lovely woman who check me in.
Just a 15-minute walk from central Peterborough, this friendly hotel offers home-cooked food, and a bar with courtyard. Free high-speed WiFi is available in all areas of the Hotel. It was a bed for the night. Value for money and nicely positioned to where I had been and was going.
Boasting a garden, SilverHill is located in Peterborough in the Cambridgeshire region, 2.2 mi from Longthorpe Tower and 3.7 mi from Peterborough Cathedral. Probably the cleanest well maintained hotel, motel or rooms that I have stayed in.
Peterborough Cathedral is the most beautiful Norman cathedral. Catherine of Aragon is buried there. The museum is good. The Key Theatre is a good place to watch a play or see a band or a comedian. It's well placed overlooking the river nene. Ferry Meadows is great for walking, cycling, sailing and for the kids to play.
Arrived for the antique fair in Peterborough and was not disappointed, plenty of stalls selling a huge variety to suit anyone's tastes. It has certainly grown in the last few years. Of course the fine weather helped.
I have made two brief visits to Peterborough - one was a 2-3 hour walk round the town centre, to break up the long journey from Yorkshire back to London. I was able to walk from the station to the town centre in about 5 minutes, to look round the finely modernised Cathedral Square with its summer fountains, take some photos of the outside of the Cathedral and have a drink in a nearby cafe. This weekend (Feb 2017) I was making an overnight stay in Thorpe Lodge Hotel prior to going to Sunday morning service at the lively Peterborough City Church - completely different style to the Cathedral's monthly Taize-style healing prayer service on the Saturday evening, but both were enjoyable and inspiring to me. On Saturday afternoon I had time to explore the vast Queensgate shopping centre, also a couple of well-stocked charity shops nearby, before attending the Cathedral Taize service - a good way to look round the awe-inspiring interior of the cathedral - I am not sure if one has to pay to get into the Cathedral apart from when attending a service, but I did see that there is a £3 charge for taking photos inside (fair enough!) There seemed to be a good selection of restaurants of all price ranges and ethnicities around the Cathedral Square - I took advantage of a special offer at Pizza Express. I noticed that by 5pm on Saturday many shops and cafeswere already closing or closed, earlier than in London.
Small city with good shops and attractions such as the cathedral, parks, museum and historic buildings. Nearby towns such as Stamford, Market Deeping and Bourne are also full of character and have nice pubs and restaurants. Burghley House near Stamford is lovely to visit and year round, you can walk in the grounds for free or tour the house. In the summer there are several events around the river Welland and walks in Ferry Meadows or Bourne Woods are nice. Beer festivals in the area are worth a visit. The White Horse pub in Deeping is good for a cheap drink in a usually quiet and peaceful atmosphere, the Square is more modern and lively. Linfords is an award winning chippie with the best chips in Deeping. The bus service in this area is good with buses going from Peterborough reguarly, the Bourne-Peteborough service which goes through Deeping, Glinton, Northborough is good (101 or 102 bus) taxis between Deeping/Peteborough are cheapest at £11. Showcase cinema in Peterborough is a 30 minute walk from Queensgate and the train station
Stunning cathedral with excellent displays - great history e.g. Katherine of Aragon's tomb. Fine museum with excellent exhibitions on the French prisoner-or-war camp, medical history of the building, history of Peterborough; and the special exhibition celebrating 175 yrs of Thomas Cook. Some lovely old buildings especially Cathedral Square. Great lack of tourist information: the hotel had no brochures; the visitor centre was closed, lack of street signs pointing the way to the museum.
Peterborough is a lovely little city with a beautiful cathedral where the body of Mary was interred before it was taken to London by James the First. Surrounded by the Fens and other lovely small villages and tons which are all worth visiting.

We come to Peterborough each year for an annual event at a local hotel which was fully booked so we had to look for alternative accommodation. We booked the Dragonfly which was local to the event. Our rooms were spacious comfy and just what we needed. Staff were really friendly and couldn’t have done more for us, arranging taxis for us to and from the event. The hotel has fab views over the lake topped off with a good breakfast. This hotel will definitely be our first choice if we need to stay in Peterborough again

Very convenient to the station and to central Peterborough. The staff was extraordinarily helpful and charming. The decor is more quirky than elegant, but we like that sort of thing.
