Friendly staff . Clean and bright. Room was a little dated, but fine . Front of house areas were all clean and pleasant. Breakfast was definitely the highlight. Well stocked buffet and friendly helpful staff will definitely get me back . Ample parking with lots of CCTV.

Breakfast was amazing! We just concluded a 5 week trip to Europe. We live in the UK and The Bell Inn was the first place we stayed at the beginning of our trip. We enjoyed it so much, we wanted it to be the last place we stayed before going home!

The breakfast was not great. Service was lacklustre, the staff were not engaging. Any request appeared to be a chore. The quality of the food was not of a good quality, over cooked sausages and eggs, not a very varied choice.

Very friendly and welcoming team on the reception desk.
Room was light and airy and, for once, wasn't an extreme temperature.
The guy running the gym was equally pleasant and helpful when I asked to see the gym before my workout the next morning.

City with a dated shopping centre and lots of restaurants but not much more. Cathedral and grounds, museum and Cathedral Square well worth visiting. Lots of old buildings but lots of rubbish, streets were grubby and littered!

Peterborough came across as poor and unloved.
Peterborough came across as poor and unloved.
I walked through the centre of town on a Wednesday night around 10:30 and did not feel safe - not normally affected like this.
There are groups of homeless people around the town, not necessarily bothering people but they need support and shouldn’t be left to roam the streets. Far more homeless here than anywhere I visited recently.
This was a work visit, I would not visit for pleasure

Peterborough not the best city in the world, but a few shops to mooch about it, and plenty of places to eat and drink. Mum and I took a trip to the cinema. Was nice. This hotel IS NOT in the town centre. Its a little drive. But that is what we wanted.

Nene valley railway station at Peterborough worth a visit to eco garden area.
Plus train trips.
Flag fen on outskirts is definitely worth a look, really interesting and a nice walk too.
Like all cities there are some less charming areas! But some good cafes in town, Gossip good coffee and Fratellis in Rivergate for coffee and breakfast. Oh and East on the river for Asian fusion food and to sit in a boat!
I would just like to say what a wonderful hotel this was, myself and my partner, decided to have a couple of nights away and as I quite like Peterborough I thought I'd book this hotel. We had a lovely room to stay in the bed was absolutely lovely and the room was a nice temperature. Will definitely be heading back in the near future.
We were accommodated in a great location with rooms opposite which worked well for the family. Great to have spa and pool facilities, in a great location near to Peterborough Town, nice grounds around the hotel. Friendly reception and cleaning staff.
A little gem in the heart of Peterborough. One of the best hotels I have stayed in. Great Staff, nice room. Spotless and so clean the whole place. Central location to theatre, station and shops. A brilliant find .
